"JD(redacted) didn't win the national championship in 2023 because of the defense"

@Ole Miss
LSU up by 2 with the ball 5:06 to go:
Just need a couple of 1st downs to win the game.
LSU goes 3 and out
@Alabama
Tied in the 3rd
LSU picks up one 1st down then punts. Next possession JD throws an interception at the LSU27.
Compared to Joe Burrow:
@Texas

to end the game. LSU loses if Burrow doesn't put the team on his back like a winner does.

I love that we're resorting to hating on an LSU Heisman winner. It's clear his family is behind this unnecessary drama.

Florida state game 2023. Tied 17 halfway through the third lsu ball. Next three possessions from “LSU legend”
Jayden Daniel in his Heisman season.
3 and out. Interception. Three and out.
Best thing about this controversy is it will make this board more critically examine Jayden’s time here and realize he was largely a stat padder against mediocre teams who won the Heisman in a down year.

I love JD5 and appreciate his time here, but at some point you have to be an adult and not let the parents drag your reputation through the mud.
He's making millions in the NFL now. Let this go.

Nah, it's nice to take victory laps once the Rant finally agrees with you after militantly disagreeing with you originally. I've said this since 2023.

LSU scored 49 points in one of the games you mentioned.

And went 3 and out with a chance to win the game.

Ole Miss 2023 is no different than Bama 2019. Defense completely imploded in second half. Only difference is Burrow and 2019 offense scored every single time they got the ball in the fourth quarter to preserve the lead.
Texas and Bama in 2019 (and Florida to an extent) are the games that Jayden and the offense lost in 2023. Best win in 2023 was an 11am kickoff against a Missouri team who wasn’t even ranked highly at the time?

People act like Joe Burrow had a defense. 2019 didn't have a defense until they woke up against A&M the last game of the season. At one point the defense was so bad it was going to cost them the 1 seed. Winners make plays and don't make excuses.

At the end of the day, JD signed off on it. Are you saying he doesn't have his own Power of Attorney?

Burrow had to take all QB snaps vs Vanderbilt and Ole Miss if that tells you anything about that defense.
They woke up when it really matter, but it was a big issue that entire season.

Not me. I still love Jayden and will look back on his team here fondly.

Who could have put a stop to this at any time, and obviously was on board.
I get his mom is a psycho, but he’s a grown man. It’s obvious he felt “disrespected”

I get clowning on JD for the cease and desist but you give Jayden even a top 70 defense that year and we likely win the title. He did everything he could to win those games for us. He was a phenom and couldn’t be stopped unless it was a cheap shot by a Bama player.

Two things can be true. Jayden had a great season but stats are not everything. I always chose to celebrate him despite any shortcomings in certain games because he didn't have help from the defense. His mother ruined the relationship and his legacy. RGIII said it best. He needs to buy his momma a house and remove her from the business. But, I'm out.

Well…not everything. He could’ve gotten a first down against Ole Miss and not imploded in the third quarter of close games against Bama (interception and stalled drives before the injury, lot of people conveniently forget we were down 14 when he got hurt) and FSU

LOL. this is ridiculous.. he was not Burrow, but he is one of 90 Heisman winners and there have been over a million players since the trophy was first awarded in 1935....posters here want to act like JD5 is a bum all of a sudden.. at the end of the day we don't know what handshake agreement he may have had with LSU .. and why LSU made another handshake deal with DJ.. what I don't get is if it is "only a number" why is it so important to DJ ?
