...INCLUDING Tim Tebow...to be invited to New York for the Heisman ceremony. And NO. Tebow didn't pick JD to go.

I didn’t see the segment. Was it one of those things where they predict the rest of the season and project from there? Maybe they predict a loss at Bama and that will stop him?

Only thing I can think of because certainly based on CURRENT stats, play I can’t imagine leaving him off.

He is not going to win the Heisman because of LSU playing in a bad SEC and the media can finally beat down on the conference.

I do think he can win the Davey O'Brien.

Bad SEC? lol.
The Pac12 is having an unreal season with their tops and SEC is still right behind them. SEC is 34-8 non conference. I love when people just post things without facts.

The Northeast elite writers are having a jizz load in their pants over JJ McCarthy. Dude is 48th in the nation in passing yds per game. He is avg 100 yds passing less a game than Daniels and has 18 Td's compared to Daniels 25.

Michigan hasn't played a team in the top 40 yet.

He beats Bama and all of that changes. Top offensive player on a top 10 team who still has big games after that vs UF and A&M to further cement his status.

Heisman rides or dies next weekend.

He has to beat Bama and probably win out to have a chance. I know that is stating the obvious and it sucks, but that’s what the Heismen has become a popularity contest from the top teams. Not the best player.

lsu has played one top 25 defense and lost. Daniels had a 64 QBR in that game.

Pac12’s best OOC wins are UF and TCU.

They simply have played no one great OOC.

So tell me why any of the others deserve it over Daniels?

Because McCarthy sure as hell doesn’t

With an extremely underwhelming 5-7 record against other P5 conferences included in that. The SEC isn’t bad but it is absolutely the weakest it has been in at least two decades.

Why worry about what those clowns think. Win the upcoming games and it will take care of itself.

I'm guessing they were just projecting how things will go as the season plays out, but up until this point, they'd have to be imbeciles to say he shouldn't be invited to NY. He has been phenomenal and has the stats to prove it. No one has been better or tougher. Penix (minus the terrible game last week) has been great, but other than him, I can't say anyone else has been as good as Daniels.

Even frontrunners can totally fall out of the race in the back half of a season (see Fournette), but I really don't see anyone on LSU's schedule shutting Daniels down with the guys around him on LSU's offense and with the great leaps he has made as a QB this year.
