I can assure you I’m not an idiot…we will see how he recovers next year with the most powerful college baseball brand to sell.
I know how I think it will materialize but we will see…

trailed in only 5 of the 27 innings we played against UALR.
that’s not “extremely” close.
went 10-1 in the postseason last year.
I'm not sure where you are getting this from.
In Game 2, LR took the lead 6-3 in the 3rd. Won 10-4.
In Game 3, LR took a 5-1 lead in the 2nd. LSU tied it in the 6th, and led from the 7th onward.
So in the two elimination games, LSU actually trailed in 11 of the 18 innings.
Yes, LSU won and the rest is history, but you are lying if you weren't worried after LR dropped 5 runs in the 2nd inning in game 7.

Clearly he’s not ruling out the possibility in the future, but in no way was it a threat to leave
With the context of his answers to the same question in years past, yes, I'd say it's a threat. He changed his tune, and again, all he had to keep saying was "I have no interest in leaving LSU". End of story.
Instead he added on the piece leaving the door open to go to the MLB. Whether it was a threat to the administration for NIL or him genuinely wanting to leave, who knows.

It was a completely unforced error to threaten a jump to the major leagues midseason. Complete brain dead nonsense that completely torpedoed whatever chance this team had.
You're such an idiot.

Ask the media why they asked him the question. Jay answered it.

Has nothing to do with how this team is performing and it wasn't "a threat" to jump to the major leagues.
Some of you need to settle the frick down and quit posting after every loss lile it's the end of the world.

we played 3 times.
none of which went to extras.
so that’s 27 innings.
we never trailed in game 1, so that’s 9 of the 27 that we didn’t trail.
we took lead in the 6th of deciding game.
so add 3 more, that’s 12 of 27
they didn’t take lead of of the one one game they won until the 3rd.
so 6 of 9.
and 1 sill inning next game.
so my bad. 7 of 27.
7 inning total
7 out of 27.
the horror!
holy shite… he must totally suck as a coach to have not had the lead.
oh, and he won a fricking Natty!
imagine if Warren Morris flied out instead of hitting a dinger.
and Brad Cresse hit into a twin killing i read of a game winning single.
we could be sitting here with only 3 national titles instead of 8.

He was asked a question about a total nonsensical scenario. No MLB team is considering hiring Jay. The Giants at the moment are wishing they had not made the dumb mistake of hiring a manager directly from college.
More than football and basketball, the difference between college baseball and the MLB is VAST

First it's baseball and anyone with a brain understands in 1 game of baseball anything can happen! It's why they play series!
Secondly the guy has won 2 nattys since becoming our head coach.
Look he made some bad evaluations for the roster this year and knows it he's not standoffish with fans or reporters. He will adjust for next year I woukd think the 2 titles buys him a little grace even from the spoiled asshats in the fanbase!

To hell with you when a pitcher can’t make the play to 1st. That’s not coaching. This is the SEC. Stop blaming Jay.

I know right. They probably said we’re gonna score only 24 runs this series and outhit the other team because frick that he wants to bail on us!
You are a retard

He should talk to a real big league manager like Tony Vitello

It didn’t matter in the end but fyi you typed all of this out and still got the number wrong. The poster you replied to was correct.

Is this is how a loyal fanbase speaks about a guy that has won 2-3 natties. No wonder LSU fans have the reputation they do.
