This sounds legit. I can't see Woodward calling in BK to tell him to fire assistants, an argument ensues and then Woodward says, "OK, then you're fired."

Woodward didn't have authority to do that.

Woodward has known for a couple of years that BK wasn't going to work out here, so he has no doubt worked on the money during that time.
