There is nothing in the article that point O as the direct blame for anything. The issue is above his head. The players they use for examples while O was the coach were all disciplined by him when the process was completed. You can argue, and I’d listen, that it took longer than it should have but that’s not on the coach.

But that's the exact opposite of what she's saying. Even in parts where she admits the blame wasn't on O, she still insists he needs to be fired for it:

quote:

Ed Orgeron has to go.

Period.

And he might not be the only one at LSU, in athletics and beyond, who needs to be sent packing.

quote:

Orgeron was not the head coach when the first known accusation against Guice was made, but he was a member of the coaching staff.

quote:

Orgeron gave a statement to USA Today in advance of the story, and when meeting with reporters Monday afternoon, he offered a mealy-mouthed read of much the same, some empty sentences about being “committed to a culture of safety, equity and accountability for all students and staff” and that “every allegation” is reported to the school’s Title IX office.

Ask the victims of the at least nine players who played for you, Ed, about safety, equity and accountability. Ask the women who have had to uproot their lives and transfer schools because you and your department protected those men and treated those women as little more than nuisances.

quote:

Ed Orgeron has to go. But he’s not the only one.

The writer shows how she has zero intent on making sure the accused are shown fairness and given a chance to prove their innocence. Any defense of them to her is identical to defending rape. If anything, I'd argue her stance is the opposite of progressive: she wants young, black men to be punished for a crime without being given due process.

Maybe Yahoo should investigate the EXTREMELY high rates of young black male criminality and the thousands of incidences of fake accusations made against male students by ideologically- charged young women? And maybe talk about the presumptive innocence of the accused and the need to be fact- based and not narrative-based. You know, look at ALL of it with a goal of getting to the truth of why this is all so common, instead of just stirring the pot, flinging poo everywhere, and destroying innocent lives just for the sake of feminist/Progressive ideology.

FTR, before people say I’m just blindly supporting LSU players, my daughter is friends with the alleged Guice victim and all her friends, I was told about this stuff before the NFL draft, made reference to the rumors on this board at that time, and my daughter absolutely believes it occurred.

It's a column, not a news story, so its 100% the opinion of the writer. its not surprising in a case like this that the torches and pitch forks come out. Ignore stuff like this, worry more about the news stories.

Is this going to end up with huge sanctions for the football program?

thousands? exaggerate much ? There's certainly some of that (Mattress girl) there's others where they are drunk/the girl later regrets it and others that are legitimate.

the DOE "Dear Colleague letter" denying due process was a disgrace and ultimately harms legitimate victims

Even if it doesn't , we must self flagellate to appease the liberal masses.

She had 5 retweets. She covered the Patriots for 10 years-curious whether she did any retro-hit pieces on Urban Meyer regarding Aaron Hernandez.

As I mentioned in another reply.

YAHOO has become so totally irrelevant in news, sports, finance, social media platforms, etc. that they sling stupid crap against the wall of "reporting" to see if they can get a reaction and a few clicks. When is the last time you saw someone with a yahoo.com email address?
Has beens always get desperate.
