Davis for sure. Sloan will get a lot of blame, and some of it is justified. But when you have an inept O line, that can't produce in the run or pass game, that is protecting a QB that isn't himself for whatever reason... then you're just not gonna be able to play call and gameplan your way to a W every week. Especially against good teams with coaching staffs that are just as good.

In other words, Sloan has a legit excuse...Davis does not.
Whenever NIL was introduced, he had his work cut out for him. He's always been great at roster management and who to recruit. Now he has to become a true GM and manage the funds allocated to the program and our players, which is a whole new ballgame.

If history is any indicator, we will probably go crazy in the portal like Ole Miss did last year. Maybe he feels proven portal guys are a better use of funds (and probably cheaper) than highly recruited HS recruits.

Happy for the guy who brought this program back from the dead after Woodward caved to the ncaa

Who do you think hired the guy who brought the program back?
The too small argument is false. He has the exact same build as Kwon Alexander when he was here. We just need to learn how to use him, whether that's a true outside LB, star, middle etc.. I don't know. But it shouldn't be this hard.
No use addressing these people. Their opinions change from game to game. One series/game our coach/player is the greatest, the next they no longer deserve a job or starting spot.

After year 1 everyone was talking about how great Kelly would be because he took a roster that was beyond depleted to an SECCG. Never have they considered how long it truly takes guys like Harbaugh, Swinney, even Saban or Kirby to build a championship caliber program. Somehow, we should be the exception. Same point goes for McMahon.

I'd like to think it's a very small (but very loud) percentage of our fans. You know it's the kind of guys you listen to once and can tell they have no idea what they're talking about. It's beyond unrealistic, it's delusional.
This is what's weird to me. After watching the show, it was clear that Michigan threw that guy under the bus to save face. He's had every reason to speak out against Michigan... yet he hasn't. After how they fricked him, it blows my mind that his allegiance still lies with that school.
BK screwed himself year 1 when he took 35 scholarship players to an SEC championship game and beat Alabama. It fast forwarded everyone's expectations.
Here's the facts,
1. This roster is a 9-3 (maybe 8-4) roster talent wise.

2. The guys he's had an opportunity to recruit are only sophomores some RS freshmen minus transfers.

3. I know this is a tired argument, but that doesn't make it any less true. It takes more than 3 years to recover from what was left behind by O. Recruits need to become juniors/seniors in order to truly see what BK's potential is. You can harp on transfer portal all you want (and I do believe you use it sparingly to fill immediate needs NOT entire teams) but rebuilding starts with high school recruits.

If our staff stays intact, we will develop these guys into a great unit.

My only gripe with BK so far is the loss to USC (who is a bad team), and our inability to scheme running plays. Aside from that he's done everything necessary to rebuild and develop us into a great program. Just takes time.

He quite literally does the exact opposite of this. When he says "coaches", is he not included in that?

They hate the fact that Kelly takes blame when he deserves it, but also holds players/coaches accountable when they deserve it. It's almost like they expect him to take full accountability for everything that goes awry with the gameplan... that's not how teams get better.
Elko was a great hire considering the budget they had to accommodate. That being said he inherited a lot of talent and will probably never win anything meaningful in his tenure at A&M. In fact, their team this year isn't good which makes this loss much more unbearable.
A lot of this changes based on personnel. Since Jay's been here, we've had a solid 6-7 guys in every lineup who are capable of extra bases or putting one out any given pitch, so I guess he didn't want to run himself out of big innings. We also had horrible luck with executing hit and runs at times. We'll see how it changes with this lineup,
To be fair, Dickinson broke the record for stolen bases in a season at his former school. We will only be better come February after having to throw this guy out all offseason.

Agree to disagree I guess coach. I've watched plenty. You can certainly find some bad plays...you'll find more good ones guaranteed.

Like I said all of the guys 3-10 can fluctuate and I expect any of them to pass Swinney up at some point. Guys 3-7 have just had more recent success. I don’t necessarily think any 1 coach is consistently better than the other. Just how I see them in the present. We’ll see how good most of these guys are in the SEC.

Side note: I am very high on Norvell. I think that dude is an outstanding coach.
1. Kirby
2. Swinney
3. Day
4. Norvell
5. Deboer
6. Lanning
7. Sark
8. BK
9. Kiffin
10. Whittingham

1 and 2 are due to the prestige as of the last 8 years, even though Swinney is falling behind he still has rings.

After that I think it's the ability to consistently field a GREAT football team, and to over perform despite talent.

Truthfully, 3-10 are all really close and can change weekly. Just how I see it now.
