Not even close. The worship of Jarrett Lee was off the charts. They would've erected a statue to the statue if they could.

This.

That discussion literally led to a few in real life fist fights.

Dang. I thought that was before the days of Sonic knuckle checking. People take their QB opinions seriously I guess.

Russell/Randell flip flopped all through 2004. I can't tell you how many times one had a bad game and the other came in to save the day.

Last week this board was all about the #3 QB (Walker Howard)....so we are at least moving up the depth chart this week!

Towards the end we all concluded that they both sucked and the most popular guy was subsequently referred to as "Mettsiah".

Wasn't too much time on the beach Myles Brennan's problem?

Nope, that would be old Pick 6 himself.

JR vs Flynn was incredible. Booty vs Nall vs Davey was too.

I think it took Joey B to kill it, honestly.

No, Jeffersons performance his last two games killed it. Few could defend him giving LSU the best chance to win. Because he clearly never was. Lee gave LSU an undefeated season, includine 6 ranked opponents, and JJ finished it like this:

vs UGA 5/13 30 yds 2.3 ypa QBR 20.7; 6 rushes (-5 yds)

vs Bama 11/17 53 yds 3.1 ypa 1 int QBR 23.7; 14 rushes (15 yds) 1 fumble

One of the earliest games I went to in Tiger Stadium was the 1978 LSU/Ole Miss game. 11 year old me watched two dudes in the SEZ start throwing punches after an hour of arguing Ensminger vs Woodley.

Obviously without the internet, the arguments back then took place at little league games, bar rooms, church, and well, the south end zone.

Hell no... the jj/jlee debate still happens every single off season. Literally every single one.

You guys don't even realize how clownish you come across. Thanks for making the point for us.

A loaded QB room is a good problem to have, and one we aren’t used to having. It only gets better moving forward.

And yes, I expect we will begin to see LSU QBs enter the portal over the next couple years.

It was Shoney’s back then. Sonic wasn’t as popular. It’s alright though. The winner of the fight generally paid for the losers breakfast buffet after.

I'd be embarrassed to be so disingenuous.
8 games doesn't make a season. JJ bailed him out of a loss to Bama and was the QB for the last 5 wins of the season.

1) perhaps you forgot the last game wasnt a win. In fact, with JJ LSU was the only team in BCS history not to score a single point

2) Lee beat 6 ranked teams, but would have lost to W Ky, Ole Miss, and Arky
