JD used LSU’s innovation and facilities to increase his marketability. I think that the University did more good for JD than JD did for the University. He received individual honors but that does little for the University. JD is an ungrateful bore. No statue for him, please.

I don’t care to see a statue of him …the guy has no real love for LSU and he was a transfer on top of not playing in the bowl game

Somewhere a while back someone posted the criteria for having a statue, part of it was at least 5 years after career finished, I think having a Heisman was part of it, but the part that Daniels doesn't have:

This is probably the best analogy. Now that he's retired and not whooping LSUs arse anymore all is forgiven by many. I still say frick that a-hole. Hopefully Jaden has a long and successful NFL career and becomes an ambassador of LSU.

I really feel like dude is an LSU guy. They just didn’t appreciate giving his number out after 3 years that’s kinda wild. Like that’s what a Heisman gets you?
That being said. I think we can all agree on this give the kids 5 years and then circulate them again. Put the statue up after 5 years everyone is happy no one feels undervalued compare to someone else. I think Lane is of the mind state of “You want 5? 9? Here it is come on down”.

Even Burrow shouldn’t have a statue for a long time. You can literally wait a day and watch him play still. I feel like a good time to build one is when the guy shows up for the unveiling and you think “wow he got OLD”
