Had the same thought. Tre Wilson sure seems like the type of player who would excel there, but I was surprised to see he only has 1 or 2 returns in his college career thus far. It would certainly be nice having someone dangerous back there again instead of a walk on just because he can secure the catch.

I don’t think so. If he waits one more season, he can be the HC of a major SEC player instead of Tulane.

And just a side note for those lobbying for Frank… his HC record is 26-40. I’d love him to be on the staff for recruiting purposes, but no way would he get the LSU HC job.

Sounds like we have our DC one more season. His contract is up in 2026. I’d expect LSU to make an extension offer now that the Lane sweepstakes is done, but I don’t expect Baker to accept. He’s gonna take a HC offer after next season and he should.

Lotta talk about him taking the Tulane job, but not much talk about him maybe wanting his jump to be to a bigger program, which he will be able to do after another year, especially under Lane if next season is as expected.
