Here is my take on the whole thing. I don't think the heat LSU is taking is worth it. Like it or not and it is unfair, the media has made LSU out to be public enemy #1. I hate to say this but I agree with Mascona, right message, wrong messenger. Literally zero national media will acknowledge that numerous other schools have accepted commitments from players who have gotten TRO's from their state courts. Arkansas, Texas A&M, Texas, Missouri, South Carolina and others. Oh and Finebaum can go to hell. Hopefully when SEC nation comes to BR he will have multiple golf balls and mustard bottles thrown at his head.

A lot of you are so incredibly emotional and so reactionary to other idiots opinions it’s sad.

Media / internet losers have decided Lane and LSU are responsible for everything that’s fricked up with college football right now.

Level headed people know that’s an ignorant outlook and dismiss it.

Others, make threads like this.

And you thinking throwing mustard bottles and golf balls at Finebaum’s head won’t generate additional media heat?

Worth what? What have we lost?

The respect of blue check marks self righteous figs on Twitter ? Strive for their approval and you get a McMahon led program.

Its just like me and the buds say “H8ers gonna H8!” Let them be mad and JEALOS! Kiffin and his MEN strive in this kind of thing. Im sure they are throwing there heads back and laughing like a bunch of wild hienous at all this madness they are creating. LSU loosing focus? Nay, I, for one, argue, it is our opponents that are loosing focus because of all the whining they are doing. We are in the best spot of any time in the country right now!

We were already public enemy #1 because we stole poor little Ole Miss’ coach away in the middle of their playoff run. Might as well embrace the villain role. If other teams / players are using the courts to their advantage when it comes to players getting extra years of eligibility, then why can’t we do the same?

This perception that LSU has done something nefarious here is a media creation fed by SEC competitors leaking negative stories to them. The "heat" was coming regardless. Stand strong. We've done nothing wrong.

The move to claim a 5th year, in court, was precipitated by the NCAA by constantly changing the rules (5 for 5) from previous lawsuits. These players see an opening and a weak governing body. So they are taking it to court. LSU is not a party to these lawsuits.

what's ironic is that Penn State stole Iowa State's coach and he took near half the damn team with him....yet not a word about that.

Yes.

1. Starting TE that will let Weis Jr use Green how he wants outside.
2. DT who was all SEC last year
3. CB3 that we desperately need
4. Pyburn who may start as a DE

Potentially more

Taking Lane from OM already put you in hated territory. Might as well buy all in. Also I think the story is starting to get diffused a little more as more schools get targeted. My guess is that today it turns less about LSU and more about everyone.

Who cares?

College football is a pathetic joke. I hope LSU exposes it for exactly what it is - an inferior professional level of football to the NFL. When you have guys playing for millions who haven’t been enrolled in any kind of class for years it’s not college football.

Yes. Recruits and transfers see very clear what programs are willing to fight for players and what programs are not willing to make that same fight.
