I agree due to the fact that as the team has progressed and gone from a pre-season doormat to a Top 10 team expectations change.
I'm still very wary about this game though. I've said it multiple times this year's A&M team is a difficult match-up like the UF game was so I'll feel a sense of relief if/when we leave College Station with a W.

Of course it is natural and appropriate for expectations to change based on what happens during the season. Judging the final result on pre-season expectations makes no sense. To me the UF loss combined with a loss to Arky with a NY6 on the line would without a doubt be a disappointment .

A 2-2 November would be a disappointment. A loss to a coach we were in position to hire at one time, would be a disappointment. Probably falling out of the top 10, would be a disappointment.

There is certainly a scenario where LSU still makes a NY6 Bowl with a loss.
And I love how we would be “shitting the bed” by losing a game in which we are underdogs.

Again we will make our team and fan base obsess about these games. We as a fan base get way too worked up. Some of that bubbles up to the players It hurts our teams in game performance.

Well seeing how everyone on this board choose us to go 7-5, 6-6, or 8-4 I would say no. Would it be disappointing yes, but not surprising.

Indeed. A loss to Arky at this point would certainly be a disappointment. We would have to fire O immediately if we lost to Arky now.

The huge disappointment was Alabama 29, LSU 0 at Tiger Stadium. I had been told for countless months that we were comin'.

An aTm loss would be just another skin hung on the wall next to Troy and State.

Well since we were supposed to win 5-7 games this year it has already been over the expected projection and more than 90% of people expected. Win or lose we have had a great season in rebuilding year 2

Yes it would be. Imo O is a two Sec losses a year at max coach. If we were to lose three it would be disappointing. If we were to win I would be right with my analysis of O and feel good about the direction of the program.

I firmly believe LSU will win the game against A&M. I have confidence in this team and the coaches.
Why am I so opptimistic? For the most part LSU has proven they can rise to the occassion. Coach Eaux et al know the importance of this game and will play accordingly.

really tired of hearing it all the time. 9-3/10-3 seasons are fine and all, but it can't be every single year. O can't even do that, goes 9-4 instead.
very important to get 11 wins this year. program has taken a step back.

I don’t think the season will be a HUGE disappointment but I certainly feel like a we ended in a very downward trajectory.
