LSU lost to Troy last year.

Troy might be the 2nd or 3rd best team on their schedule

I think our DE's and back 7 on defense as well as the talent at the skill positions are whats boosting our ranking.
If we can get the same production from the QB and OL as LY then I think we're gonna be hard to beat.

Last year injuries and playing 12 weeks straight killed us.
We had one ptitful performance last season vs. Pitt, Clemson was just better and we threw away the Wisky game.

I think it is overhyped due to some wins over a fairly weak schedule last year. I think the last few games were telling, and lsu is going to make a statement. Lsu d is salty all the way through, will be first year fully loaded and using full scheme. Jmo

Miami, fl the boise st of old with all those sisters of the poor on their schedule. Good Grief, might as well schedule high school teams.

I’m glad they are a top 10 team.

When we beat their sorry asses by 24 points, they’ll have us ranked in the 15-18 range going into our top ten or maybe top 5 game (if they beat Washington) against Auburn.

Oh wow! Really?

yeah, it happened.

I know its kinda hard to believe, since LSU was a 23 point favorite at kickoff, and LSU was 35-0 against Sun Belt teams prior to kickoff. but yeah, it happened.

If Malik bumps up his completion percentage by 5-10%

Good point, but that is tough for quarterbacks to do. A ~7.5% completion percentage increase in a year is an night and day difference in performance. Everyone wishes their QB's could improve that much, but in reality, they rarely do.

If we beat them, they'll fall way down. Just because AP will think they aren't that good instead of LSU is that good.

They got railed by a physical Clemson team and I expect us to do the same.

Remember, Clemson got raped by Bama a few weeks later.

They are not as good as that ranking.

Using the transitive property in football is pretty stupid. Even more so when it's not even the same season

Difference is Malik was a first year starter. It would be completely different if he started for 2+ years and he hovered around 50%.

This is why context is important. Rosier was playing with a bum shoulder for a month and was without his All-ACC WR, TE, and RB for the last three games. Most analysts have said the Clemson and Wisconsin games are completely different if most of those players play. Pitt just had a great gameplan, much like Troy did against you guys.
