He coached the LBs at Miami too and everyone regressed LOL. None of our players improved under his tutelage. We're, I'm a UM fan, also happy he's leaving because he was a HUGE liability in recruiting.

Ever since Manny was hired the defense has been top 30-35. The 2019 defense Baker fielded was Senior led so it's not that impressive considering.

Congratulations to you all though. Hopefully a change of scenery and less responsibilities is all Baker needs.

Figured you guys were watching. The offense looks better, just like I said it would, with RS Freshman N'Kosi Perry starting at QB. It was his first official start and he looked superior to Rosier with only 12 pass attempts. I still wouldnt have put him in against you guys but he makes those throws that Malik missed in that game.

It was a good win but man do I hate Manny Diaz. His defense is too boom or bust and is predicated on being faster than the offense rather than being sound and disciplined. I wont give them too much flack though since they only had four days to prepare but it's the same thing with this defense; get a sack on 2nd and 10 then give up a 1st on 3rd and 18.
I'm back just to see if you guys were watching and sure enough you were.

It was a Thursday night game. I didnt go but I work in Miami and traffic was backed up horribly. Guarantee you that's a packed stadium if its Saturday afternoon or night.
Why cant you guys recruit a good QB? I wonder is it the same reason we have trouble recruiting 5* OL and DL.

When this happens to yall 2-3 more seasons, you will really be frustrated like LSU fans have been.

Im not sure anything is more frustrating than to see a great team at every other position lose 2-3 games per season because of poor QB play in multiple seasons in succession.

I guess we could be a bit spoiled. We always have skill positions and at least an average signal-caller
Luckily Richt has a good track record of recruiting and developing QBs.

I'm insane for my Dolphins ,don't care for the canes ,but give respect for a talented squad. Hope for more fun match ups with y'all

I'm a Dolphins fan too. Fins up!

Burrow busted your safety sneaking up to blitz (something your coach called) and called an audible. had nothing to do with it being a backup

It actually does. The safety that blitzed, Johnson, is our best safety and usually serves in the role of the other safety, Knowles, that took a horrible angle on that run. We're not playing FAU or FIU. No need to trot a special teams player at best out against LSU.

Did you go to Miami or just became a fan?

Why do you ask?
Either you guys are trolling or you havent seen decent QB play in a while. We havent had the greatest QB play over the years(Kaaya being the only good one) but they all had at least one great trait throwing the ball; Kaaya for example was accurate and Morris threw a great deep ball. Rosier has scrambling ability and that's about it.

Even local and national reporters are calling for a switch. Watch our games against a depleted UNC team or against Pitt last year and you'll see that's just how he is no matter the defense. In the ACC alone I'd say he's perhaps the 7th best QB(Clemson has 2, Duke, FSU, NCSt and VT are all better) Georgia Tech's QB might be better.

That kid played his heart out. He just looked shell shocked by the second half

I'll give you guys the benefit of the doubt since you dont watch our games last year but that's Rosier all of the time. That s how he played in most of our games. Streaky at best but what we're most upset about is that we know, or at least hope, that there's a better QB on the roster.

Burrow didn't id 3 reserves, he id'd a blitz coming and ran a play in the opposite direction.

Your qb isn't that bad. He made many good plays. He was against one of the top 3 defenses in the country.

You're right. The problem is still there though.

I give your defense a lot of credit but Rosier is that bad. There were open receivers that night.

A friend had said the starter for Miami had been suspended. Did they plan on starting the number 2? It sounds like y'all thought this should have happened and a shame he could not play.

N'Kosi Perry was the hyped up starter but apparently was inconsistent and couldn't pick up the playbook. I'm starting to take the coaches' word with a grain of salt. Perry cant be worst than Rosier.
You guys played a great and as I feared, we received way too much hype coming into this season. White is as good as advertised and that DL was stout. Looks like you guys might have a next great LSU RB in Brossette.

I'm always on the pessimistic side of things so I kinda figured the game would go the way it did and I'm glad it happened so Richt can address several problems. For example, on the Brossette run we had three reserves out there and Burrows identified it and ran right at them. The problem is that those players shouldn't even see the field unless it's on special teams. Diaz loves to play mind games with more talented underclassmen for whatever reason by putting in less talented upperclassmen. Not saying the TD wouldnt have happened, just identifying something Diaz loves to do thats becoming an issue--pointless substitutions.

And I'm quite sure you all witnessed Rosier. Our fanbase has been screaming for a QB change for the longest yet reporters and coaches assured us all of this offseason that he had improved. LOL he looked exactly the same as last year. Missed and erratic throws all over the field. Besides not being able to establish the run, he is why we're one of the worst 3rd down teams in the country.

All in all, I'm thankful for the a** whopping your guys gave us. Very humbling for fans who drank the kool aid but reassuring for some as it confirms we still have lots of work to do.

I'll take overrated but that's only because of the media. Our fans aren't on that hype train and know that theres still a lot of work to do.

Nothing can be done about our schedule so what's the point of harping on about it? The team's job is to win right? Nothing else should matter. If you're going to look at last year's schedule take these things into context

1. We didnt have a bye week thanks to an actual hurricane.
2. Our starting RB went down mid-way through the season.
3. Look at our scholarship numbers lol. We had between 5-8 less players than everyone else because of the NCAA stripping our scholarships away a couple of years ago.
4. Missing starting WR, TE, and RB to end the season.
5. Rosier playing with a bum shoulder.
Yup.

We were rolling against Wisconsin then Malik throws a pick and everything becomes dysfunctional. Think we had a total of negative yardage in the 2nd quarter of that game.
Should be a decent showing. We travel well for a private school like you said. I think most forget that we are a private university and think we have 35,000+ students on campus when we actually have almost a 1/3 of that.

These are always funny. That's literally four years ago. :rotflmao:

Use a more up to date picture

Evidence is the brother of freak-athlete David Njoku, former University of Miami TE now star NFL TE for the Browns. He's about two inches taller and 20 lbs lighter than David and that speed posted is legit.

I wouldn't go as far as to call him Megatron since he hasn't seen the field but if he has that same gene as his brother

Trayone was a beast about three years ago before injuries started to take a toll. I doubt he has that same speed though after putting on 30+ lbs lol. Don't mind my fellow Canes' fan.
This is why context is important. Rosier was playing with a bum shoulder for a month and was without his All-ACC WR, TE, and RB for the last three games. Most analysts have said the Clemson and Wisconsin games are completely different if most of those players play. Pitt just had a great gameplan, much like Troy did against you guys.
