And he was a pretty solid interview after the game. Just looks and sounds like an old school ball coach.

Genuinely could be the best coach in CFB right now when you look at Indiana, statistically the worst football program over the last 50 years. And they’re a legit national title contender and might be the favorite after tonight. And he’s doing it at fricking Indiana

He also has a great defensive coordinator and qb.

Coaching but it also helps that they are one of the oldest teams in FBS. Their roster has a lot of fifth year seniors, a few 6th year guys, true seniors, redshirt juniors on it.

Cignetti is an old school hard arse.

He also has had both his coordinators with him for like 10 years.

Hands down the best coaching job I've seen in my lifetime. We blow smoke on Kiffin for doing what he did at Ole Miss.....Indiana was one of the most pitiful, and pathetic football programs in the Power 5 the last 100 years and that is no exaggeration.

And he immediately makes them relevant on a national scale.

They are still players from JMU, who beat both OSU amd Oregon this year. Teams riddles with blue chips.

Probably the single most impressive coaching jobs I’ve ever seen or heard about in a long long time.

What he has done at Indiana is insane.
Here's another that is crazy too IMO. Kennesaw St just started football in 2015 as an FCS team. They just became an an FBS team in 2024. They only had one coach and he was let go after 2024 after going 5-6, 3-6, and 2-10 from 2022-2024. They hired a new coach, he brought in transfers, and after winning 10 games combined the prior 3 seasons, they go 10-3 and win the conference championship game in year one of the new HC.

Cignetti's obviously crazier beating Oregon and Ohio St in the same year in only his 2nd season and winning the conference undefeated, but this one was crazy too when I saw a video on it.

And you just can't beat Ohio State, you just can't.
disagree. Ohio St lost 2 games they should have last year only to beat them again in the playoffs. That's how I see this going.

took a bunch of players from JMU. Many are 5th/6th year Seniors. Grown men.

Yet they wouldn't see the field at many of the big schools. The man can coach

Who have they beat? What is their SOS? That conference is highly and extravagantly over-rated!!

You pay attention much? They lead the nation in SOS? Have you watched them play? Give them the credit they earned...on the field. IU and Georgia are the 2 best teams right now. I hope they meet on the field.

You can bet your very last dollar they will make sure SEC teams play each other in the playoffs to insure the other very weak conferences can participate in the Finals.
