An Indiana starter thinks his undefeated team playing for a national championship can beat any team in college football history on air. Shocking i tell ya.

I’d bet my house that there were players on last years Ohio St team, 23 Michigan team, both UGA teams and 20 Bama that said they would beat 2019 LSU.

But we all know words mean nothing. They think they can beat the best until they don’t.

Any player is going to pick his own team. Why call him out on that? The reporter is the idiot.

Good chance many of these players don't really know much about or didn't watch LSU 6 years ago.

The fact that 2019 LSU is who everyone compares everything to tells you all you need to know.

Yea it’s a pretty stupid question to ask him. I’m sure the reporter already knew his answer to that but wanted to ask him so he could go online and write “INDIANA THINKS THEY WOULD BEAT 2019 LSU!!” Just to create drama and get clicks.

Around the time LSU played Arkansas is when the 2019 D got healthy. Once that happened, nobody was beating that team, in any season, ever.

Also, Auburn had a tremendous defensive game plan and the DL to do it. They could rush three and get pressure up the middle. UGA tried to replicate that the SECCG and LSU was ready for it.

Auburn, Texas and Bama were the only interesting games.

The stretch of UGA, OU and Clemson was the most unstoppable force I’ve ever seen in CFB.

ETA: it’s even more ludicrous to suggest they would only score 21 in hindsight when you look at who was on that offense and what they have done in the NFL.

We would’ve scored 21 in the first quarter against them

And my HS basketball team could beat the original dream team.
Talk is cheap.

Of course he'd say that. Maybe 2025 Indiana should beat 2025 Miami first.

Might want to finish the season before making bold claims. A loss to Miami would certainly put that argument to rest.

The only team that would have a chance to beat 19 LSU would be 01 Miami… but even they couldn’t do it in my opinion. That 19 squad was crazy good.

I like how that “reporter” said “boom” at the end of the clip as if it were some kind of earth shattering statement.

That's what it comes down to. If other teams keep saying "We could beat 2019 LSU", instead of "We could beat X team that's not 2019 LSU", it's very telling.

The numbers against inferior teams do not support this conclusion . For this reason I’m out.
