Brother, I'm 64 years old soon to be 65. Have been going to Tigers stadium since my daddy took me when I was about three and man I'm telling you what I thought nothing could ever come close to the 1979 LSU Southern Cal game. But man I was not there last night but from everything I can hear and read about it was beyond anything that I've ever seen. I know everybody says pump the brakes 10 for the expectations and what have you? But again I say Clemson has been in the national championship game four of the last 10 or so years winning it twice. They're not a Kutztown State University or slippery Rock or Northern Alabama or Northern Arizona. They are a legitimate p5 school and like I heard some ESPN and now she was saying this morning it's not that they played all that bad. I mean they had the one turnover. It's just they were outclassed and out coached. Go Tigers

Yep. Ppl keep saying kiffin will bolt for bama the min he gets a chance but I just wholeheartedly disagree. I think he just wants a real top tier college atmosphere somewhere that has a solid chance to win titles and LSU is all of that. And if I’m wrong….then oh well dammit I’m gonna enjoy the ride. He might bolt, but I doubt it. I don’t think Saban would have left LSU for Alabama either. Roll Tide got lucky that he wanted out of the NFL after only two years. He got his dream job with the Dolphins and it didn’t work.

Yeah, this isn't the feeling of a season that grew in 2019, this is "just different". While I want the most out of this year, I totally get that we are just going to keep stacking players, games, years, wins.....

And yes, he may move on, which I choose to not believe for some time, it will be a helluva ride until then......

Bama is NOT "just different' and Lane knows that.

We are a match made in heaven.

Swagger University is peak college for LK.

I don’t hear people say that. Then again I have no gumps in my social circle .

But I can’t imagine Kiffin would want to try matching Saban’s accomplishments at Bama.

Even Saban encouraged him to do it at LSU and not make the same mistake he did by leaving after the first national championship.

If he leaves after 2 national championships at LSU, it will be to run for Governor.

I hear ya, and I celebrated last night, but time to put your head down for next week. Can’t get ahead of ourselves. There are some good coaches in the SEC that will figure some things out with Lane. No doubt, but how Lane can adapt and change is what I think will make the difference.

I think he likes the "us against the rest of the world" vibe that he's landed on here. The way he has been treated by the rest of the league . . . I don't think he's going anywhere else. Maybe Jerry comes calling. I think that's probably the only gig he'd take. His mentor and his past experiences may advise against choosing that path. As has been said . . . I'm going to enjoy the ride unless/until that day comes.

I'm quite a bit older than you but this is the best I've seen LSU look, both offensively and defensively, since 2019.

No it’s not.

We’ve never blown people out like this, even in state opponents. We would play close , and eventually run away

Yes and he said on game day with Saban , that it was his fault with the way things went , with the mistakes he made , that he learned a lot about why Saban did what he did. I believe Kiffin wants to be the GOAT coach at LSU and win the most National Championships ever at LSU . Just my gut feeling he ain’t going nowhere for a while .

Yes. Historical level Semjase level approval.

I've been to more games in TS than 90% (Estimate) of this board. (Both sitting in the seats and playing on the field)

Been There. Done That.

Kiffin is Saban level in management and preparation. Most likely there will be more of that to come this season and beyond. (Gotta have some luck with the OL though. No quality depth. A major OL injury will severely hurt)

I would imagine things will be completely different than when Saban split.

the LSU brand has changed and ideally the school administration and the money issue's should not be problematic moving forward.

of course there's always the chance for another plandemic over the horizon.

A lot of LSU fans are hesitant because they are not used to having a coach that can actually out scheme and out coach the opposing coach on a weekly basis and being a a master at making in game adjustments.

We haven’t had that type of coach since Nick Saban. And there’s a lot of younger fans on here who do not remember the Saban years.

I am elated but not shocked. We have been seeing this Kiffin model playing against us for thr last 10 yrs. It is what I expected but I did not know how good we would be right out the gate.

The Kiffin model is HUNH and if he stays ahead of the chains it keeps chugging. If the opponent cant keep their offense on the field like Clemson last night then it just gets worse for them as you go.

When we ran our second series we did not substitute and immediately lined up on the LOS and called the play. I knew Clemson could not sustain that pace for long.

Coaching a bunch of million dollar crybaby professional football players in an organization that hadn’t won shite in 20 years and a careless owner. Saban’s calculation on that job was his worst ever.
