This place was going nuts JD5 first year because he wouldn't throw it.

The Rant wants an accurate gun slinger and a fast runner!

Our current play design in a number of instances requires Nuss to read the end or down LB. If the DE ignores Nuss and focuses on the running back, he’s a liability for that particular play call. As a result we need to trash the play.

There is no winning with the rant.

The kid drove us down in the 4th quarter snd threw a dot on 4th down to tie the game and then a ended it on a walk off back shoulder and I had a dude literally arguing with me that his completion percentage was still really bad.

fricking clown shows.

I wish he was the greatest of all time ever. I wish he had Cam Newtons Size, Peyton's arm, Vick's speed and Brady's accuracy but I'm realistic and know he's not going to be perfect

I also think he's going to get better. I don't think he's near his ceiling

What is currently seems great. QBs on either end of that spectrum don’t consistently beat good teams.

There is a reason Ole Miss was never great with Bo Wallace.

Which QBs do consistently beat good teams without a running game?

gunslinger or overly conservative

although genders are binary /// your question is not

Nuss needs to be somewhere in between these 2 end-of-the-pendulums by

(A) Trusting and zipping it when required // the two late TDs vs ole miss were incredible

BUT ALSO STOP FORCING WHAT'S NOT THERE:
(B) Throwing into double and triple coverage
(C) Trying to hit NFL-tight 45-yard sideline bombs

AND ALSO START:
(D) Running and getting 8-28 yards when it's open to take
(E) Find second or third option (lots open in middle of the field but Sloan also must scheme more underneath routes)

If he consistently improves B C D and E they can win out

Gotta remember he's only had 7 starts!
Although LSU should have beat USC being 6-1 in 7 starts is excellent

I saw a decade of overly conservative offense from Les and while it worked against 90% of the teams on LSU schedule you don’t come back and win games like last Saturday with that type of mentality. Sling it.

Yeah you say that until he starts throwing 3 interceptions a game

You realize that the reason it came down to OT was because he played like shite up until that point. You can say Ole Miss shot themselves in the foot too but that has nothing to do with Nuss. wtf was that long interception into double coverage. 2 other throws could’ve easily been picks, too.

He made up for it, he won the game, but he sucked up til the last 2 throws. Both can be true. Doesn’t mean we expect Tom Brady, I would just hope that he never plays that bad again.

You can drill and practice better reads, judgement, etc. You can't teach an aggressive nature. Give me the Gunslinger.

Neither. I want him to be in between so we can win.

why do we pass for 30 yards on 3rd down

what's funny is after first two games everyone was asking why we throw it for 7 yards on 3rd and nine; biggest complaint was throwing it under the sticks all the time

this last game based on defense OM was playing, I agree we needed more 7-8 yd passes

not really impressed with Sloan in this regard

Hes missing a WR or two, and has no real run game. I'm going with gunslinger.

The end of that game was incredible.

Lets see how the run game improves over the course of the season. Because currently the game is in Nuss' hands so he needs to be efficient and aggressive because if he doesn't dissect the defense and get touchdowns we aren't winning because we do not have a consistent running game to get scores.

Really?
Propitious?
Of all the possible words to use, you chose “propitious.” Did you ask ChatGPT to compose your response?

If he pulls down just a few less gunslings and jogs for 5 easy yards to a firstdown, we would be way better off.

Anybody complaining about Nuss should compare his first 7 starts to anybody we’ve ever had. It isn’t even close.

I would rather him make smart decisions! That interception was ridiculous. A great quarterback does not make those throws. Hopefully he will learn.

Neither just a solid qb with all the tools including 3 or4 runs a game.
