No committee needed. Chip Kelly is just waiting on a phone call

Honestly, I am not sure what they are waiting for. I am not a knee-jerk kind of guy, but it is so clear to see what a clown show this football program has become. And we haven't even sniffed the potential bottom yet...

It has been brewing since O was hired. I think most of the players did not expect to have this conversation until year 3. Most thought O would be able to maintain status quo of the last few years at a minimum.

It started to leak this summer about some tension, but it was written off as growing pains.

Saban was a leader. Miles was a manager. O is a ball coach.

TBL, bro, where's this coaching search headed after we kick O to the curb?

Yeah this sounds like yet another awful plan.

Promote an Interim AD, let O finish the season, and start a search firm, there are at least 3-4 good names for AD that could be wrapped up quickly.

Let the AD find a football coach towards the end of the season. We will be in rebuild mode. Recruiting will be damaged, the program will be damaged. Ground up on everything with a younger, steady hand. I'd give the keys right over to someone like a Fuente, Brohm, or Chryst. Let them bring their own, completely new staff.

Again, this isn't rockets science. No rush to judgement, no panic. Focus on plans that have a low risk for complete failure and be methodical.

A group of boosters with egos is probably the furthest thing from methodical.

It is all about filling Tiger Stadium. The athletic department cannot afford for Tiger Stadium to be empty. An empty Tiger Stadium is unforgivable and that the bottomline.

Which is why my seats will go empty the rest of the year.

I would suspect if they make a change they will go offense and try to keep Aranda and Raymond. Anyone expecting a huge hire is going to be sadly mistaken unless it's someone out of a job like stoops or Kelly. We're looking at a Mike Norvell, Scott Frost, Frank Wilson type name.

Dude at this point I would rather Ronald McDonald coach this football team

Scott Frost would be an absolute home run. He's a poor man's PJ Fleck and that's not a negative.

It has already started. no sauces just intuition. I am good friends with David Landers's son and his son ripped LSU a new one coming out of the Tiger Den suites Saturday night when I met up with him so I am assuming those convos are taking place right now. hell the media has turned on him 5 games into his first season.

Way to earlier to even consider that. The fight is above the football level. The winner of that fight decides the future of the program.

If JA does not survive then AD search would occur 1st.

O may survive this season regardless what happens because some are hesitant to cut bait with a Head Coach after only one-season and push decesion to next year.

The other side wants to clean house and completely start over because atleast if we suck next year we have the excuse of rebuilding.

Many are pissed because no one believed this was a rebuilding job. The state of the program was billed as a driver problem and not an engine problem.

In reality we had an engine problem that the previous driver covered up. (the engine problems were caused by that driver though)

Now we have a driver that does not know how to build an engine and the extent of his driving is go fast.

O sold them that crock of shite. the house was falling apart, and his solution was to just put up new wallpaper and a fresh coat of paint.

we needed a complete rebuild from the top down.

It has definitely already started behind the scenes. Several TAF guys I know are fed up, and at least one major booster, who was never high on O to begin with, is ready for him to hit the road.

If the committee had influential former players on it with money it would not be a bad idea. Former Bammers like Baumhower and Stabler were very influential in the Saban hire. Not saying them specifically but a player who tells it like it is in Booger, a Hodson, Moreau, Cassanova etc. Tigers with some clout in some way and money who have good business contacts or even guys still in the league with some dough who can chime in an opinion or two.

Took us forever to get points on Troy.....until I see the score I'm guessing we get 3 field goals.
