STFU. You start far too many threads for someone who has such shitty takes and opinions

We haven't even started practice yet and we're already hoping the team loses, Coach O fails because you don't like him, or making excuses. Come on game day.

All of the goals would still be attainable

Win the sec
Beat Bama
Get to playoff
Win it all

A loss to Texas does not impact any of that. LSU would still control own destiny

A one loss LSU team undefeated in conference play is absolutely guaranteed a playoff spot, likely number 1 actually

If Ed Orgeron loses to Tom Herman, you can bet your butt that Ed will go from this huge momentum swing to feeling a little heat underneath him.

If we lose to Texas it will be a 3-4 loss season most likely.

I'll make a bet...

*IF* we lose to Texas, we will still finish 9-3 or better.

If I'm wrong, Buckeye Jeaux is perma-banned.

If I'm right, Tiger Ree is perma-banned.

If LSU can’t beat Texas, while technically you are correct, realistically we are effectively just playing for a less shitty bowl game.

Where's the bet? That it won't get worse than 4, because it seems like you're not confident it'll only be 2. Why not just say 10-2?

It's like some of you have never watched a game before. Newsflash: Texas is a good football team, playing at their house. They are going to be extremely fired up for this game. I expect LSU to win, but we will improve as the season goes on. The sky won't fall if we lose.

I think the OP was sticking up for the coaching staff if anything. He's saying that we can still make good on the season even if we lose.

Yes Texas is a very good team but this game will set the tone for the season. LSU is expected to win regardless and a loss will be a confidence killer. Anything is possible and LSU could run the table after a loss but it’s highl unlikely.

A classic LSU activity: the pre-loss melt. Look for it again starting on 10/27/19.
