Like with free college tuition and free housing and free food and a chance to earn millions?

That's a great idea!

If your speaking of being exposed to Covid, you need to get out of here with that nonsense.

So is covid going to disappear next year, the year after, and the year after?

Covid is here forever my friend, it’s a virus like the flu. There is no cure.

Exactly why these kids should value a free college education.

What is the percentage that play in front of a packed stadium and with enough fans whose ticket sales, and TV revenue, pays for their college expenses.
In other words, do they depend on taxpayers, and other students, to pay for their football experience?

Semi pro football leagues have been tried time and time again....and all of them have failed. Why do you think college ball would be any different if they paid players?

They are doing work and making money for the university. They should be paid, every single game just like the professionals. Anything less is modern day slavery.

There is more inherent risk getting hit and being unable to play football ever again. There are little to no long term effect of Covid for men their age.

You can't say that!!

I mean, you can't officially refer to it as "paying" them, because people not currently playing it insist they be called amateurs.

Instead, I would propose Hazard-Stipends or Dangerous-Athletics-Vitally-Needed-To-Support-Everything-Else-Scholarship-Allotments.

Or better yet, expand curricula to mandate a Military Science Biological Warfare Lab course for all participating student-athletes this semester which has a peculiar sizable negative lab fee.

There are all sorts of ways to hide and find money needed for important things. You just have to be creative.

people also seem to forget that they are paid a stipend of around $3000 per year, also a lot of them also have jobs that pay them fairly well to do not much at all, and all that is just the above the table stuff.

This is just ignorant. They are free to leave when they like.

Everyone screams about the money the players make for the universities, well what are the players without the university???

Aw jeez. Please. Football players weren’t forced to show up on campus, and they can leave anytime they wish. Their participation is completely voluntary.

I dont know why you jack arse keep saying this. Players are Already getting paid. If you think otherwise your head needs to be dislodged from your a-hole. You start paying players aboveboard they would take a pay cut. The good ones at least. Thats why you dont hear about many SEC players wanting to get paid like you did with those Northwestern players. SEC better players=better pay. Northwestern players=shitty players=no pay.

They risk life changing injury every time they take the field, even in practice. I have two kids with debt from college, and they didn't get free food, free room and board, free medical care, free everything. They get paid plenty. Sounds like something a ambulance chasing lawyer would say.
