re: Saturday Lunch Thread - Geaux Tigers - Jambalaya Sauce
It’s funny how a recipe will remind you of a place in time. Today for the family, I’m cooking my famous pork shoulder, that I rub the night before, inject it with Cajun butter, and smoke to perfection on the Traeger. Funny, every time I cook it, it takes me back to 1995, where the Tigers upset Aubur...

re: How many people attended both LSU and Carolina? - Jambalaya Sauce
My wife and I visited South Carolina recently, and I can wholehearted say it would be a wonderful school to attend, just based on the location alone. It’s still very southern compared to a lot of SEC schools, very similar to LSU in a lot of ways. Gearing up for this game today is exciting, fellas. W...

re: The Defense is not a “Pelini Problem.” It’s a Covid Problem. - Jambalaya Sauce
We need the testing numbers to be sure.
Absolutely. New Orleans was a hot bed, and lots of players' families were affected. Both physically (not practicing)and emotionally taxing on our guys. I foresee us figuring out the new defense in the weeks to come, and by next year the t...

The Defense is not a “Pelini Problem.” It’s a Covid Problem. - Jambalaya Sauce
Look at all the games so far this season across the board. Obviously defenses are not ready for the season to start—it takes longer to get a defense ready, ESPECIALLY a young defense under a brand new scheme. No Pelini is not the problem. We had to quarantine these guys to prevent a worse pandem...

Tired of all the Brennan Negativity - Jambalaya Sauce
The man has played one game. Look at Burrow’s stats for the first game he started for LSU—without NEARLY the pressure of Brennan. How many of you were experts your first day on the job? We are going to have a great season with Brennan at the helm, give him a chance. ...
The educational scholarship is not sufficient recompense for a number of reasons.
Exactly. The program brings in $175-$200 Million/year. If the players are risking their health, they need to be paid. - Jambalaya Sauce
You can’t ask these young men to go out and risk their lives to play football this season without monetary compensation. I’m not saying pay them every year, but the school needs to pay them this year for putting their lives on the line. It’s already a dangerous game—and this virus makes it 1000x mor...
