Hopefully the next game for Skenes will be Saturday, game 1 of the Final.

He could probably throw 50 pitches on Wed.

There’s no doubt in my mind CJJ and PS sat down and discussed a plan so he can pitch 3x in Omaha including game 3 on Monday if necessary in the championship series.

To answer your question, if we pitch him Wednesday, he pitches on 4 days rest which is plenty. You know they’re icing the hell put of that 8-figure arm as we speak!

If I’m a coach, I’m pitching him tomorrow and that way he gets the 5 days rest in the championship series if we even need him!

Wouldn’t Sat night to Wed night be 4 days?

Pitch him one inning in relief today to get his strikeout record

I guess technically that is 96 hours so he should get the green light. Then he would actually have 120 hours (5 nights) rest for Monday night. Makes total sense

I edited my original post. This is encouraging thoughts!!!

Stahp

He has trained on 7 days schedule all season, he will continue on 7 days schedule. He’s not switching to MLB schedule. Too much risk to his health to make that sudden change

Sat - pitch
Sun - rest day 1
Mon - rest day 2
Tues - rest day 3
Wed - pitch

In baseball - for pitchers - rest days are counted only on days the pitcher does not pitch. Not 24hr intervals.

No, he would be on 3 days rest. And also no, that would not be "plenty".

Do then it’s only 3 days rest not 4 like my original post. I wasn’t sure how that calculated I just know a starting pitcher needs the “4 days” rest.

So the big question is will CJJ pitch him 3 times in Omaha???

Plenty

I’ll reword that to “enough”

I’ll put it this way. If LSU makes it to Monday night, Paul Skenes is on the mound 100%
