Just let it go… no one is firing their coach in this era with that kind of money left on the deal. 8-4 and 9-3 will not get a coach fired btw. If it does, y'all will be crying about the contract any elite coach will command for security.

Ok Coach Kelly, we get it. You don’t want any criticism.

LSU is stuck with BK for at least two more seasons.
Posted on 10/3/25 at 5:04 pm to TheDonald
IMO it depends on the outcome of this season.

Yes, definitely retained. 60 million reasons.

My thought is this at least needs to be a discussion. Do we show great improvement and barely miss the playoffs at 9-3? Or do we go 7-5 and greatly underachieve? The former is disappointing still but at least we can have some confidence going forward. The latter would leave many of us who give to the program without any confidence that BK can get the job done. Vote of no confidence from boosters and general NIL giving is hard to overcome as a coach. It ultimately ensures he is fired because he can’t compete.

If LSU fails to make the playoffs ….is Kelly retained
What kind of idiocy is this?
We could lose every game the rest of the season and unless he decides to retire, BK is the LSU head football coach next year.
End of discussion

Here are the topics you started about firing the coach.
Check closely…not all topics refer to firing Kelly. Sorry

Stupid response in a stupid thread started by an alt.

Come on. The buyout is too much. He is here for the foreseeable future.
Posted on 10/3/25 at 6:29 pm to TheDonald
Was this necessary as a new thread? There are at least 100 previous topics discussing this.

On this we disagree.

So you think this should not be discussed?
Yes. It should be discussed. Definitely. It should be discussed more than once, too.
But now that it HAS been discussed, over and over and over again, for weeks …. You should “read the room” a little bit and understand that we don’t need another thread about it right now.
That’s all they trying to to say.

from one of the other 50 threads about this same topic this week.
Probably isn't going anywhere until 2028.

Here is a year-by-year breakdown of his buyout:
November 2024: ~$60.8 million
November 2025: ~$51.7 million
November 2026: ~$42.5 million
November 2027: ~$33.1 million
November 2028: ~$23.4 million
November 2029: ~$13.5 million
Probably isn't going anywhere until 2028.

his BUYOUT is the ONLY reason he'll make it as long as he does here. Without that buyout, he probably is on the hot seat next year and is fired the year after.
And he knows it. And he doesn't care. He's sitting in his office talking to his wealth advisor while Sloan and company are drawing up the game plan in crayon.

Ah yes, firing coaches…..is Kelly a coach? He is. Shut the frick up.
Posted on 10/3/25 at 7:54 pm to TheDonald
He’s here until 2027 at a minimum.
It’s not even a question.
Boosters blew their load this year. They will not do it again.
