If the CFP stays at 12, at most 4-5 SEC teams get in. At the moment LSU is not a top 5 SEC team and would not be in the near future.

In the new landscape of professional rent-a-team college football, I could care less whether any championships are won, but only expect to watch some athletic contests on tv in which one side is wearing my university's colors.

Not going to lie, but this shows the delusion of our fanbase.
With our resources and a 12 team playoff system, I'd suggest make 3 appearances in the CFP and a trip to the final four would be about right for my expectations. tack on one SEC championship

I'm very excited for the near future and I think it's the dream job he never knew he wanted. That said he's lane kiffin and he can change his mind at any time. If he left I wouldn't be pissed if he delivers a few playoff appearances and a title. We are LSU we will just replace him with the next up and comer. WE are the brand not the coach, it's kinda like what Nick Saban did to us by going to hated rival we are kiffin's Bama in this scenario. Big power/brand team that's down but has the potential to be great every year. That's what Saban did he revived Bama like he did LSU. That's Kiffin's job now and I think he will be here as long as he wants because he will produce results

I see Kiffin being here for a very long time. I don't think any other school except maybe Texas that he would bolt to. Money is not his issue and for that reason I think he stays here and maybe even finish his career here building a legacy for himself.

CFP every year starting in 2027. I highly doubt he even stays for 5 years. The NFL is gonna come calling sooner or later
