Wish I had faith enough to say yes... But exactly what do you change? Scheme? Its been garbage so far... Players? They just get younger and less experienced the more you go down the list...

You guys do realize we are still averaging over 35 ppg. So give Esminger some type of credit, even if he gives a couple of questionable calls.

Anyone will make questionable calls, Brady has made plenty of questionable calls as OC in Carolina.

People don't realize that 2019 will likely never happen again.

The offense is part of the problem but the defense can't stop anything. State has scored 16 pts since LSU.

Agreed. They need to start playing harder and faster for one thing. There was no attacking yesterday.

You saw E’s idea of an offense in 2018.

That’s was all Joe.

He didn’t build it from scratch but he was around Moorehead and Payton. 2 amazing Offensive coaches

Yeah Moorhead looked amazing last year. Ensminger without Brady is still the best LSU offense this decade. I wonder if you guys ever watched the team before last season sometimes.

He was a good OC at Penn State where Brady worked with him.

What we’re you saying about clueless?

I watches The whole decade and
1. That’s not true
2. If it was true it means fricking nothing.

The 2018 offense was garbage with a veneer of 7 OT and an automatic FG kicker

Fair enough.

I did Mean 2 amazing offensive coaches.

I’m not taking any shots at O here.

Just pointing out that Joe worked with 2 great offenses before he came here.

E worked with a lot of terrible ones. Including his own.

Why does an NFL job validate anything?

Kliff Kingsbury got an NFL head coaching job after getting canned from his alma mater because he couldnt win

How do you get 56 likes when you've PROVEN HIS POINT!!!! Kliff got that job based on his offensive prowess. He does not have to recruit in the NFL and can pay for a good defense.

While Bridgewater hasn't been able to find the endzone much, he's 10th in yards per attempt, 5th in passing yardage, and 2nd in completion percentage. If they had McCaffrey they'd be close to top 8 in total offense.

Imagine being one of those that still think Ensminger or anything offensive related is the problem this year.

Why do people keep trying to twist the argument to this? Who is claiming the offense is our biggest problem?

Do you think Brady would be OC in the NFL this year if Brennan was his QB last year.
Texas game was close
Florida at half didn't look good
Bama could easily gone either way
Auburn again was a tough game

It some time is the Jimmy and Joes that win championships.

With all that said our defense is lacking fundamental tackling and all around not up to LSU standards.

This is an ignorant thread....Our first time starting QB is averaging what over 370 yards and 3 tds a game averaging a 3.5/1 TD/INT ratio and a Rating of 150+....with far less talent in every position other than maybe TE

i hate to say it but to compare last years offense to this one is lazy and irresponsible....yes they can get better but if you think the problem is the offense you have bigger issues

The offensive line is bad and getting no push thus we cant run on the early downs which leads to third and longs.

The OL got very little "push" last year but we had a RB with VISION. This year we have a RB that runs straight in the back of his OL every time he gets the ball.

Every time CEH had a big run, he was making someone miss in the backfield and finding the open space. Curry just plows straight ahead into everyone including his own OL.

Goddamnit people no one is fricking saying the offense is the problem.

Are there some big time warts on this offense that are going to show up starting this week? Yep. Am I blaming the offense for all of this team’s woes?

Just because one area of the team is much worse doesn’t mean other issues can’t be discussed.

Well, this is a far cry different from what the OP posted. There were a lot of reasons for last year. Talent was a huge one. I think that college football success is roughly made up of this:

1. 25% coaching
2. 50% talent
3. 25% QB

There is no doubt that Ensminger was the real coordinator. He found Brady, and he called most of the plays. But "the real reason for last year"? The biggest reason for last year was talent. As a rookie, Damien Lewis is one of the top linemen in the NFL. Burrow is already starting. Clyde is killing the NFL. Patrick Queen is a dominant NFL LB. Jetts is a top NFL WR. And Terrace Marshall and Chase are yet to show out.
