If Islam is a peaceful religion, then why isn’t there peace in the Middle East?

I mean, the ME should abound in harmonious association with all parties and people. Right? A peaceful religion wouldn’t have unending war with each other and only united around common foes. When is the last time any Muslim nation enjoyed lasting peace?

If there’s anything I’ve learned in the last six months. That group of tribes are more likely to run from a fight than French. They are all more than happy to collect their royalties and pay slave labor to build nice things around themselves.

Any supposed religious organization that preaches this i going have problems everywhere amongst themselves.
The Quran’s Sura 5:33 says about infidels, “They shall be slain or crucified, or have their hands and feet cut off.”
Sura 9:5 says, “Slay the infidels wherever you find them ... and lie in wait for them ... and establish every stratagem (of war against them). ”
Sura 47:4-9 promises paradise to whoever cuts off the head of an infidel.
