Most Mormon’s I have met are really ambitious to be successful and make money. They are very competitive in the business world - sometimes willing to cut corners or willing to take a low chance of success for a big score.

I would say if Jaxon Dart provides Lane a good reference for Leavitt that will help.

Agree 100%. Bring him in as QB1 and he has spring/fall camp to prep for the start against Clemson.

Confident Kiffin would have him ready and sounds like the dynamic talent is there.

I would probably take him over Leavitt also, only because I think he’s going to be awesome as a starter starting next year, as well as for 2-3 more years.

Ultra athletic player, learned in a somewhat similar system fundamentally last year with spread RPO. Kiffin’s system is much easier, more half field read based than full field and safety based.

You will not get a good backup if you take LongStreet. He will be a starter for at least 2 years and no one wants to sit on the bench that long. Especially Clark. Go with Sam. Think about the long game

I’ll take the risk with Longstreet and Clark and rely on defense and the run game this year

I agree. The coaches obviously did not like what doctors were saying about his injury. He is a big roll of the dice. More upside to signing Longstreet even if we over pay a bit for him. We need a QB that has talent to develop with this staff.

I know them pretty well, because I am one. Each and every person is different.

Ok. So after he got hurt he realized he had been passed over as a starter and decided to move on.........

Jeff Sims is out of eligibility, though. Leavitt would have had the starting job back at ASU next year if he was healthy.

If Dillingham actually told his presumptive starter to move on, that could be a red flag.

Pretty broad statement!

Mostly agree, however if LSU has to play a FRESH QB with that schedule next year we are in trouble. Kiffin can coach great and be lucky to win 7-8 games.

This is also something people are blowing out of proportion. Most fail to consider that he's not like the average recruit. He's married with two kids. He's making a thorough decision that's best for his family of four.

I’m not sure why this has 33 upvotes because it’s simply not true. Leavitt isn’t married and he doesn’t have any kids

It took one day…. during the off-season, in street clothes… for tRant to decide there’s a QB controversy, put in the backup? Never change, baws!

FYI, I’m voting to play Clark as QB1 while SL heals and HL learns the system… let’s have a threeway!!!

They will all have to learn the system? Play the best player.

The coach will be the difference here.. We've never experienced a QB coach like we have now.

You left out the part about how Lisfranc injuries are particularly difficult in terms of healing, potential reinjury, and long-term problems.

I wish there was more reporting on this factor: how serious was this injury (grade), what exactly was it (displacement, break, tear?), which metatarsal area was affected, what was the nature of the surgery or was there surgery (I think it’s been reported that there was surgery?).

This is not a run-of-mill injury and it’s particularly dependent on the above-listed factors and attendant severity; it is potentially debilitating- near-term and long-term.

I mean, he could turn out to be Drew Brees but there is definitely substantial risk, also…
