I would not mess with Jay Johnson right now

This more intense version of Jay is clearly rubbing off on this team's mindset. Their mentality and attitude has shifted to a no-nonsense, all-business approach. Less motorboat celebrations and goofing around, more seriousness in performance and getting the job done. Do or die.

It was after the Curiel interference call was upheld. Jay is definitely trying to grind some fight into that dugout.
6 games to see if it worked.

A fiery Jay is a good Jay. It means he's invested. It means he hasnt given up.

Losing is not in his DNA, and he's mad as hell.

He has never shown to give up

He’s in game managing. He’s pissed and believes he’s on the right side.
Where we are is we have a mandate we have to win the next two series against stiff competition. Everybody knows it it’s no secret. Now can he get the fire lit to make it happen.
Lot of encouraging signs this weekend, but let’s not kid ourselves about who South Carolina was. We need to steel up our defense and limit the free passes the offense is absolutely capable of winning us these series.

We know South Carolina is a bad team. But the way in which LSU won, with their confidence building, gives us at least a shimmer of hope that they can miraculously dig themselves out of the hole they created and make the tournament. Would be one hell of an accomplishment to flip the switch this late in the season.

Ole Miss was the last team into the NCAA tourney a few years ago and won it all. Not saying that’ll happen, but the team has the talent to make a good run and create momentum that’s been lost in the program.

I mean I get what you are saying, but Jay got ejected in the series finale for doing this same thing then LSU went on to lose 10 of their next 12 games…
The only reason they aren’t doing the motorboat celebration is because Jake Brown is hurt.

Big IF, but IF we can take 2/3 from UGA … the Box will be electric for Florida.

Maybe because he know this team is fricked
Posted on 5/3/26 at 11:49 pm to Jack Crevalle
frick it, I'm in.
I spent some time this evening learning about how RPI, SOS, and ELO are calculated. Nerded out for a while on Warren Nolan looking at the projections.
Should be fun watching how it all shakes out in the RPI rankings at the end.

That’s a valid conclusion, but I prefer to believe that it’s stopped because there was a collective realization in the clubhouse of how ghey it was.

Hope that works this weekend.

It’s been one series against the 2nd worst team in the SEC………
Let’s not overreact to the series sweep, this weekend.

They won 14 SEC games that year and lost the first game of SEC tourney if that tell you anything. They also had 0 Quad 4 losses.
