I think the difference is the risk of someone's value being seriously decreased is a lot lower in other industries than the NFL. Also, because pro sports careers are notoriously short any delay in the time that players are able to join said league also greatly affects their earning potential.

And that’s the NFLs problem how exactly?

Stingley needs to stay on Defense. Have not been that impressed on his punt returns, and just feel other teams will key on him when he comes in on Offense. I know Orgeron will play him some, as promised, but just think it’s not a good idea.

still cant help but find it hilarious that we live a capitalist society where everyone is allowed to look for the biggest profit possible but athletes are supposed to be like "Yeah frick money. I just want to risk breaking my neck every week for pure fun." That sounds like some crazy SJW stuff to me just saying...

You commies can't help yourself.

Let's stop giving athletes free college and open up the NFL to 18 year olds.

Lol...man I’m glad not to be in his shoes. Stingley’s struggle is real. Hard not to feel bad for him and his tough situation...

Why should Stingley be mad about this?

Should Trevor Lawrence be mad, too? He would have been the #1 pick for the past 2 years.

Every employer/Industry is allowed to determine employment requirements. The NFL has stated they require a player to be three years out of high school before entering the draft. That is NOT a requirement by the NCAA or College Football.

One and done would kill college ball as we know it. The NFL uses college as a developmental league, so all are happy with the current structure.

I’m sure someone said it in this thread. But see Maurice Clarrett Jackass. Football is a lot different physically then basketball.

Football is not the same as basketball.

As great as Stingley is, he still hasn't reached his peak level. He's 19 haha.

I think for some fans what gets lost is that for some players it isn't just all about money. Maybe Stingley enjoys playing at LSU. Maybe he has goals he wants to accomplish before leaving. Maybe he wants to establish himself as the best to ever to it in Purple & Gold. Maybe he wants to be the first player people think of when they hear "DBU".

True most players want to have the college experience, I’m sure he’s good with it, besides football has the physical aspect, that other sports don’t deal with. Great Kid Great Family and most surely Great Teammate , I bet he is having the time of his life. Making my life pretty exciting also watching him play for the TIGAHS

He must have really been ticked that he had to “waste” his time in high school too.

You really think a soon to be 19 yr. old is physically mature enough to go against the grown men of the NFL? By the time he turns 21 he will be!
