That 2012 game messed me up for a long time when it came to LSU football. Like I was totally desensitized to anything negative and just lethargic and didn’t care and always expected a loss when we played Alabama from that point on.

2019 was the first year I thought LSU had a chance bc I knew we would actually score 30-40 points on them.

I’ll be at the game next weekend screaming my arse off, but I’m fully expecting a 17-21 point loss.

Edit to say honestly 2012 still has effects on me when it comes to LSU playing Alabama. I just assume each game will be a loss and don’t let myself get optimistic at all before the game or even during the game.

Yeah I was so upset. We had tickets to Guns N Roses that night and I was halfway through their set when I punched my friend and said “we friggin lost” He was like it’s ok Axl Rose is playing November Rain on a piano up in the air with it on fire.

I was like “ that’s awesome but if we had beat Bama it would have been better” Les Miles owes me more concert tickets.

Needed 10 yards to win game, then Les Miles ran

RUN
RUN
INCOMPLETE
MISSED FG

brutal. Doesn’t make any sense but that loss hurt worse than 1/9

When they came out of that tunnel, it was one of the loudest boo's I've ever heard in Tiger Stadium, right there next to the Chad Jones hit and the Devin White ejection

I was there as well. I honestly believe I witnessed the absolute peak fanbase of sports that night. I don't think I'll ever experience an atmosphere like that again, nor will the overwhelming majority of people. I can't fathom how any crowd could be more electric.
We were in the nosebleeds and I couldn't hear my wife yelling into my ear. I would love to know what it was like for the players on the field.
The heartbreak from that night was crushing.

Oh cool, did you pour hot lead down the tip of your dick and gargle vinegar afterwards?

We lost that game because, at the time, Tyrann thought synthetic weed was more important to him. If he’s on the field that night, instead of being kicked off the team, Yeldon doesn’t score.

I was at the 2014 game. I took my 14 yo granddaughter and we were sitting about 20 rows up at about the 8 yd line at the NEZ, E side. Saw the whole thing up close. Fumble recovered, scrum with Bama players going apeshit on folks , LSU gets the penalty. Complete and total BS.
Another gripe I have is an illegal formation or shift call that negated a third down in Bama’s winning
drive. It was way down the field so we only saw the flags fly. Saban threw his childlike tantrum at the refs and the call was reversed.

I talked to my son who had watched the game and he said it was absolutely Bs. TV even Showed the
Replay and pointed out the penalty.
Anyone remember this?
I’ll have to watch the game.
Never heard TS as quiet as it was walking out of the stadium. Granddaughter and I had a ball to that point.

2012 and 2014 should have been LSU victories at home over the gumps—AND additional LSU national championships.

LSU should be playing Bama toe-to-toe with victories about equally split. That happened briefly from 2007-2011. I think CBK can finally get us there.

(And yes, the gumps pulling it out in 2014 was due to some officials’ “SEC gump home cooking” even on the road.)

We have to get that mental block of playing bama out of our program.

We were in Northern Michigan for a mountain bike race and my wife had cashed it in. I woke her up with about 2 minutes left. I’ll just say, she hasn’t let me forget and we took a couple beach vacations vs football games for a couple years.

Les should have gone for it on the 4th down instead of kicking the FG. He made some horrible situational decisions in that game.

As twisted as it sounds, that is one of my absolute favorite nights in Tiger Stadium outside of the last 2 minutes.

Tiger Stadium was as loud as it can possible be. I’ll never forget the roar after Jarvis high pointed a perfect throw from Mettenberger in the corner of the South end zone. I’ll equally never forget the quiet walk out of the stadium. 100k people shell shocked.

LSU Wins in 2012 if Honey Badger is not kicked off the team! On that Yeldon screen pass his back up Freshman Jalen Mills had a TOTAL brain fart! Honey Badger would have made that play no doubt in my mind unsder a minute left in the game

Totally agree. Mills was a freshman and missed his assignment. Mathieu would have stopped the play for a loss.

IMO this game has 2010 Bama vibes

Its more 2007 vibes except Bama won't win the NC and LSU will finish with a better record than Bama did that year

I was there. The stadium was insane. Especially on Landry’s TD. Huge gut punch in that last minute. I was hoarse for a week afterwards

This was the epitome of the Les Miles tenure.
Amazing talent - and unbelievable amounts of stress due to the Hat's coaching decisions...

If LSU had won that game, even though we would go to the SEC CG, I think we lose to UGA.

After '14 or '15, I refuse to watch the LSU-Bama game. I have not watched one since and won't for the foreseeable future.
