I’m going with ‘14, the game that Beckwith recovered the fumble at the 5 and we got the unnecessary roughness call from a lineman that was provoked into being a dumbass and backed us up to only get the FG

Then KO out of bounds and they went down the field w 50 secs snd no TOs

Very underrated “kick in the nuts” game

Not sure if Tiger Stadium has been back to that level since

I’m been to some big games including 2003 Georgia and 2007 Florida. 2012 Bama was the most consistently loud game I’ve ever attended. It was a sight to behold.

Scott Van Pelt had a great account of the atmosphere that night in a radio interview. LINK

12 and 14 were BOTH games LSU should have won.

And to echo some, 2012 would have been another NC for Miles.

I was there. That bullshite penalty after the fumble recovery near our goal line happened right in front of me. Such BS.

This game right here and the descriptions therein, along with all the home games between 1971 and 1998 - especially the one where Bama recovers 2 onsides kicks- are why any win over Alabama will never be enough. This is why we must measure against them every year and why they deserve our hatred.

Bring it next Saturday, Tigers. Make them feel it.

Despite the outcome, I still it was the best game I have been to in Tiger Stadium.

Man…..I cannot understate this enough. Not having to deal with Les fricking Miles anymore is a Godsend.

Was this the one that Saban was giggling uncontrollably after the game as if a weight had been removed?

Agree. The beginning of the end for Les Miles. LSU was never really relevant again under Les. It was a crossroads game. History could have been much different with a win that night.

That was when I realized Miles was going to have to go. There was no explanation for that game.

I was in Vegas watching at the Sportsbook at MGM. Not only did it feel like we were going to win, it literally was so obvious that Les was playing to lose. That last 1 minute of Defense made no sense (as does no prevent / contain type does ever). Once we gave them too much time you could see Saban’s mouth watering at beating the Grasseating Bastard.

I’ve never hated a coach as much as Les Miles. I’m so glad he’s eating grass elsewhere.
