That said, Burrow was in his 1st year starting in 2018. So yes, he made a major jump in 2019. JD5 has now started 4 years straight.

This! The fact that so many people can’t comprehend this is baffling

We just have different opinions. I imagine the world all thinking alike. It doesn't mean anybody is right or wrong. Lets us have our opinions, and agree to disagree.

Bruh Joe Burrow transferred into LSU two months before the season started as a first year starter on a new team, AND won 10 games.. No comparison

People understand Daniels has "started" for 4 years, but the point being made by some is that Daniels has only played 1 season at LSU, in Denbrock's system, with Boutte, Nabers and Thomas as his primary receivers. This system was new to everyone, there was no chemistry or trust built up yet, Daniels was new to everybody, and Boutte was still recovering from his injury.
And Daniels had his best year of his career. Totals about equal to his 1st year at ASU passing, but a completion % almost 70% (compared to 60% that year). Add in the 800+ yds rushing and 11 TDs, and it was a very good year.

This entire starting 11 on offense returns next year. Daniels will have an entire offseason to work with guys, get his timing down, there's no reason to think it won't be smoother.

Burrow was a first year starter. I don't get the comparison, but of course any player can always make a jump.

You put 2018 Joe Burrow in this type of offense this past year, we’re probably in the cfp. Joe burrow was still running the Stone Age offense in 2018. That’s one of many reasons you can’t compare the two.

I remember Auburn’s undefeated 2004 team. They had a great season from a 4th year QB who had done little up to then in his career. Then he bloomed, and he had a great season and a nine year NFL career.

You would have said that he is who he is after his junior season, but he wasn’t.

Please stop it. Jayden could still improve. However, that's really just wishful thinking.

Do you know who herb tyler is? Do you think he improved from his junior to senior season? How about jason campbell from his junior to senior season? How about kenny pickett from his junior to senior season? Vince young from his sophomore to junior season?

Yep, ignorant people on here think Daniels can't improve. Well if Bo fricking Nix can improve, then I would venture to guess Daniels can improve also.

Jesus. Can you imagine if every rantard started their own “I told you so” threads?

Can the insecure people looking for e-cred with simple guesses just seek counseling?

But his TD-to-INT ratio is more Like Joe

His TD/INT ratio is misleading IMO. Don’t get me wrong, I loved him protecting the ball and not throwing many picks, but he also was afraid the throw the ball to avoid INTs half of the time and ended up taking a sack or just not taking a 50/50 chance downfield. Killed us against A&M

Idk I have Mixed feelings

We don’t beat alabma without him in that game
Sometimes I think he is what he is as far as what we’ve seen

With that said if those other two can’t beat him out the shame on them

Jayden looks more like Jordan Jefferson than Joe Burrow.

JJ actually passed downfield better. let that sink in. I think JD5 is topped out. he is not turning into a matt mauck who was an anomaly. a run first guy who turned into a very good passer.
