I love when posters act like anonymous posters on a sports message board board are hurting a program while the program is having the worst season they've had this century

2019 was amazing but there it ends.

2017 (9-4/6-2) and 2018 (10-3/5-3) were the results that got Les Miles fired. 2016 (6-2/4-2) somehow got Orgeron hired even though the administration fired Miles partway through the season supposedly so they could attract a great candidate or just not have a harder time firing Les for winning games down the stretch (but still losing to the Florida and Alabama level teams).

2020 is the worst season at LSU in more than 20 years. And we were gifted an incredibly easy slate with games against Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and Missouri on top of a gimmie game against MSU. Losing against the better teams in the SEC sucks but it happens. In a normal season LSU would be staring down the barrel of a 2-6 or 1-7 conference record with only a close in division win against Arkansas

Those that want Orgeron gone Are primarily rival school trolls and people that live truly miserable lives. They display all the traits of people that have never done much more than tell the garbage truck driver when to pull forward.

Oh look, another one.

You guys should really know the rules of the internet. That hot girl chatting with you...yeah that is not a hot girl. probably a 40-year old dude.

You never know who is behind the keyboard, and broad generalizations like this never work out in your favor. It's a false play of superiority because you lack good reason or belief in your arguments, so you attack the people.

Have likely never led anything themselves.
LSU Alums, LSU Power Brokers, TAF's and Normal Adult Fans, all want Orgeron gone.

There's only a small group of rabid Pumper Nuts/Sycophants that want him to remain.

They're the ones that think Louisiana is the grand cultural oasis of the USA.

This is also a dumb statement.

But as an example while Miles offense was a crime against football his 5 DC hires at LSU were Pelini who did well that time won a NC and got a HC job. The Co DC that didn’t work was quickly corrected. John Chavis who did very well here Kevin Steele who was not nearly as bad here as rantards think it who has nonetheless done very well at Auburn and Dave Aranda that’s at worst 3-2

Christ Is doing what you have to do hiring a defensive coordinator that hasn’t been one in 13 yrs? Or hiring linehan who has been an abortion everywhere he’s been ?

yes. And followed that up with one of the worst.

2019 was Burrow and Brady, but they’re both gone. Great coaches sustain success, but it’s being proven that 2019 was an anomaly

. Just like Chizik with Cam and Gus.

I have led a department of professionals for several years and I want O gone. None of what you say explains the attrition. His pictures in bed with a woman shows incredibly poor judgment. Are the rumors of alcohol abuse true? He's one of the highest paid coaches in football, he's suffered several blow out losses and he's lost control of the team.

I would have had several meetings with him by this time. For the good of the program I would tell him to pursue his excellence elsewhere.

You support every coach in any situation

You may not be wrong here, but your opinion counts for nothing

I know guys that were in charge of the last LSU coaching decision, and it may very well cost them their job, amongst other things

Just sit this one out, rightfully

This is pretty stupid. You don’t win 15 games beating 7 ranked teams on just talent. Alabama and Clemson at a minimum had comparable talent.

They did have comparable talent. But they did not have Joe Burrow. That was the clear difference in those games. We have Tua or Lawrence in those games and they have Burrow, who wins?

All I am saying is don't fall in love with the guy over one great year. Gene Czik had an awesome 2010 too. Pump the brakes on 2019 and look at the years before and the year after. Do those years on their own say he elevated LSU as he promised?

I am good with another year because 2020 was a mess. But, that should be it. He needs to survive the Title 9 stuff (I hope does. I don't want to believe the worst of that).

I say that about 95% of the posters on here everyday. I can tell a lot of them are young and lets just say "not knowledgable of things"

You are confusing me with others

1 great season doesn’t give him a life time pass but it seems like you are going a little far in the other direction. No one wins without talent. But O had a hand in getting those guys, especially Burrow to LSU and he did hire Brady

ETA you are also shifting the goal posts, you said look at the draft how much coaching skill was needed, my answer is you don’t win on talent alone.

Most of the anti O crowd never wanted him here and are trying to take advantage of an off year to get rid of him before things turnaround next year with a full off-season and new talent.

The rest are probably trolls from other SEC teams.

O didn't orchestrate it, he lucked into it. Ohio State was too stupid to give Joe the QB job.
They stumbled on Brady and he actually took the job, even though he hated recruiting and didn't like college ball. Aranda was already here. Somehow, please don't tell me it was O's coaching, returning players suddenly started playing at twice the level they had the previous year. This included Burrow, Clyde, Jefferson, Chase and the entire OL. I know they were all helped by the change in offense scheme but it was mostly the players dedicated work in the off season, led by Burrow, that changed things. Truth be known, Burrow was as much the coach of that team as O was.
