I always sort of laughed at those who claimed LSU was being unfairly treated or was being discriminated against by the SEC. I always thought it was just that we were on the short end of the stick at that particular moment and we just never really saw when other schools had their turn because we were focused on ourselves.

No longer. This is obviously a personal issue between Sankey (and by extension the SEC) and LSU. I fully believe he is orchestrating this and not just “following marching orders” from the other SEC presidents. I believe the SEC member schools have allowed the administrative offices of the conference to have too much power and influence.

So, to anyone I ever laughed at for saying we were being targeted or treated unfairly and r thought you needed to take off your tinfoil hat, I apologize.

I’m still waiting for someone to tell me what Lane did that was out of control.

Skanky did not like the meeting at the Gov's mansion relating to private equity, Skanky did not like Lane leaving Ole Miss (Keith Carter Called Skanky trying to prevent it), Skanky did not like Will Wade coming back to LSU, Skanky did not like Gov's comments about Scott Woodward, Skanky did not like LSU firing Woodward, Skanky did not like Verge being promoted, Skanky did not like how Lane was involved in this.

Its a bunch of small things that has led to this.

IMHO the SEC wants Kiffin fired and out of the conference because so many SEC teams hate him.

So LSU will be punished until Kif is fired.

I posted this yesterday in another thread. I feel like it applies to your thoughts

Yes. It’s always been this way. This is nothing new, they’ve just said it in public now. And now we know that they look at LSU and Louisiana as the weird cousin.

But we looked the other way. Not anymore. Now we know their true colors and get to use it to our advantage. Take this and use it as motivation and run absolute roughshod through this bitch this year

All of this. And the "muh pro players" bullshite is just the thing they needed to get the media and clueless sec presidents to enable them to put Lane in his place. If you don't believe they have been waiting for this for quite a long time you are kidding yourselves.

That’s a dumb reason to risk invalidating their own legitimacy.

You are on a track. This would mean that someone(s) is/are in control...

Putting my prediction hat on: LSU will publicly begin courting other conferences. Then the SEC will file suit to enjoin them from leaving... despite the absurd 1A argument they're making regarding freedom of association.

He built a roster that is going to skull drag the entire conference and he’s got a war chest to do it over and over again.

You're forgiven! Glad you now see the light, or darkness, depending on perspective.

Lane left Tennessee after only one year, and only three weeks before signing day.

Lane left Alabama (forced out) just one week before the CFP National Championship Game.

Lane left Ole Miss (forced out) right before the playoffs.

Hell hath no fury like an SEC administration scorned.

That won’t happen, but if it does then we leave a has-been conference.

This. Or more precisely he suggested that he would defy authority. Alabama is not like Louisiana. Stepping out of line is punished pretty severely. And Lane is perpetually stepping all over the line. It’s his whole persona. So the powers that be are trying to teach him and LSU a lesson. Toe the line or get punished.
