It's been clear that they intended for Diggs to be rb1.

The only backs that should get work are Diggs, williams, and jackson.

Jackson is clearly the future at RB (with Durham). He needs at least half the reps this year.

I'll just post the stats of the RB with 10 or more carries.

Logan Diggs - 24 Car, 156 yards, 6.5 YPC, long of 21 yards, 1 TD

Josh Williams - 14 Car, 104 yards, 7.4 YPC, long of 35 yards, 1 TD

Kaleb Jackson - 16 Car, 81 yards, 5.1 YPC, long of 21 yards, 2 TD

Noah Cain - 14 Car, 52 yards, 3.7 YPC, long of 15 yards, 2 TD

We could go to the portal and get a RB equal too or more talented than Goodwin, Bradford, and Cain and one more productive than Emery.

Diggs and Jackson definitely need to see the bulk of the action... having Cain and Bradford as a 2nd platoon will help keep them fresh down the stretch... and Josh Williams' vet presence and ball protection in tough yardage situations may play a pivotal role for us down the stretch

Goodwin and Emery's time is up... sucks, but it's just the truth... Goodwin can't stay healthy and Emery is just not very good...

and Trey Holley's time will come, but it just won't be this season

I think it’s Diggs, Williams, and Jackson. Those guys need 90% of touches.

Diggs and Jackson should be 80% of the snaps.

20% to Emery, Williams, hot hand or situation, etc.

Hopefully the backs can keep taking a larger share from Daniels. I think him trusting his RBs let's him stay relaxed and under control since he doesn't have to do everything.

Carries vs Miss State:
Daniels: 15
Diggs, Jackson, Williams: 18

I think Daniels with 10-13 carries is the sweet spot with the backs getting 18-25.

I’m just saying Kaleb Jackson is the only RB who has the potential of LF…it’s not even questionable. He’s shown that ability.

He’s been our most reliable RB over the past 2 seasons,

Agreed.

Williams laced up his cleats against Bama last year and didn't back down from from contact at the goal line.

He's earned enough respect to get touches.

You’re also one of his that is always complaining when baseball team is playing with the pitchers throughout the season. It’s really the same thing they are doing here. They aren’t confused. They are putting them in certain situations to see how they respond that you can really only gage in real game time.

I would go with Diggs, then Jackson and Williams alternating. I still would like to know about AG? Those three are the best blockers and RB's. But, it is always good to be deep here with Emery, AG and Bradford. Not to mention Holly. I'm thinking he will redshirt though. With that many good backs. I would love to see us ground and pound the Hogs. Since they are always talked about with their running game. Great time to be a Tiger!

I think that is going to be the plan going forward but you're going to continue seeing Williams get playing time. The Coaches trust him too much to not play him.

I think they are also trying to manage the amount of snaps for both Diggs and Williams. Both guys had injuries in fall camp.

I have no issue with Williams being on the field. He’s good for a few good plays a game. Also really good at blocking

He has outperformed Jackson in both games they played in. In terms of YPC it is Diggs, Williams then Jackson.

But I will say that Jackson's runs are inspiring and I expect him to just get better and better.

I’m fine with a Diggs, Williams, Jackson rotation.
