No but we would lose to Kentucky with a 20 million dollar roster. Look I'd take Lane in a second if we could get him because of his age and I think very highly of him but lets not act like he's actually won anything. We just lost to a top 5 team on the road in a game we weren't favored in with an injured QB while losing our best WR and several other key players before and during the game. If Kelly deserves to be fired it's because of playing a hurt QB not the results of losing to a good team on the road.

Ole Miss is not a top 5 team. We just made them look like one because our offense is so inept. Their defense sucks. Kelly doesn't deserve to be fired at this point, but he does deserve every ounce of heat he's getting for his lazy assistant hires.

Maybe they aren't a top 5 team but losing to them is certainly better than losing to Kentucky last year at home and losing to a pathetic LSU team last year with the best roster in school history. My point was Lane isn't the savior the OP is making him out to be although I've admitted I would take him at LSU tomorrow if it could be done.

He had arguably the most talented roster last season, top portal team and he still lost 3 games. Hes no better than Kelly.

Fact is he was on Campus on the Sunday. Kelly was announced the Monday. I think he was the Backup Plan? I know he was there because I saw the pic of him and Woodward walking into the Athletics Building.

This. Kelly has shat the bed here but Lane went 8-4 with a loaded roster and lost at home to a 3-9 Kentucky team with an offense equally as bad as ours this year. Also, OM had an epic meltdown in 2022. They came into our game ranked #7, got smoked, and ended up losing 5 games down the stretch. Lane is a very good coach but people would be bitching about him here too.

Kelly gets a lot of things wrong, but one thing he nailed was how spoiled and entitled the LSU internet fans are. Downvote away. Call me what yall want to, but it’s true. We have it so good over here compared to 95% of the other college athletic departments, but if you came to Tigerdroppings without knowing anything about college sports, you’d swear LSU was completely inept in everything except baseball (which is funny because a lot of people want Johnson fired/replaced 1/4 of the way through each season)
