I said I wanted Kiffin to be the Head Coach. However, I don't think either should have gotten the job. But again, looking back Kelly was the best hire Woodward could have made at that time.

I don't know who will be the next one but I still hope Blake Baker could be a good Head Coach by the time we are ready for the next Head coach. But who the hell knows. The game is so different now I think more Coaches are going to choose the NFL over this landscape because its so hard to build a culture in a program.

Kiffin has grown up a lot in the last five years. I don't think he is the same coach he was back then.

100% agree and I pounded my fists (much like BK did ) on the table screaming it.

Amazing that we’d want a coach that seems to truly hate defense

At least CBK has been to the NC too (as a HC)

I’d rather neither

Kiffen can’t keep his mouth shut and also seems to always sabotage himself with his own stupidity. He squandered opportunities as a young coach. Kiffen is why he is stuck at Ole Miss. If he gets another chance to coach at a big time program like Florida he better not screw it up.

If you think the rant is exploding because of not liking BK , wait until they hire Blake Baker a DC with no HCing experence. This is LSU we can attract Ryan Day or Dan Lanning ,yea right.

LSU would be working on a dynasty if Kiffin was here. You’d never have to worry about the offense.

Same amount as BK

Also only one less all time (D1) and he’s coached significantly longer

Also coaches at a school that hasn’t won a conference title since segregation

Kiffin has lost less than 3 games twice in his entire head coaching career. He has never been close to winning a national title as a head coach. He has never proven he can run a consistently successful program in his life.

Hiring someone like Kiffin, who’s exceptional at coaching 1 side of the ball, gives you a greater chance of success.

Then why does he lose at least 3 games a year every year?

With Brian Kelly we might suck arse on defense or offense any given year with a chance to be bad on both sides.

Then why is Kelly's resume infinitely better than all but 2 or 3 HC in cfb right now?

.

It’s ole Miss so you’d think he’d have more to work with at an LSU, Alabama, etc. type school.
Kelly is averaging around 3.5 losses a year at LSU. He’s 33-12 and on track for another opt out bowl game again this season.

Just as many as BK, and with a FAR fewer resources.

Kiffin was a undisciplined football coach prior to coaching with Saban.

And after too, it's been 9 years since he left Bama and he was fired cause he couldn't make meetings on time and other selfish and immature behavior and this was right before a national title game, so apparently he was still undisciplined even after working for Saban.

And it that 9 years he still and in his 11 as a head coach before that he still never won anything. don't let recency bias of one game make you think something that's never been true. We beat him last year and he had a significantly better roster.

He's an offensive guru who has consistently shown he does not have the overall leadership qualities to be great head coach. The sample size is huge.

He wouldn't have those problems at lsu.

People said this during the O era and he left the roster totally depleted by the time he got fired.

I realize kiffin is a better coach than O but we have to stop pretending that we’re LSU, we’ll always have an elite roster.

The modern game has changed.

2020 Lane was not today’s sober Lane-he was pretty risky when we had the opening. Never wanted BK, though.
