I believe part of BK coming here was looking at the previous coaches and saying "if those two retards could do it I'll win 6 Natties" and now he's out with nothing to show for it.

His stubbornness caught up with him.

He never really understood the culture or the meat grinder of an SEC schedule.

Hopefully this kills the "anyone can win a championship here" narrative that's floated around since the Miles days.

Kelly lacks the work ethic of either of those guys. He came in entitled and refused to do the work.

Orgeron definitely got lazy after 19, but Pepe to that he was a hard worker that wanted to win and for that I am thankful.

I think the thing that pisses people off about BK the most is that it's clear he is a better coach and mind than those two.

But from the moment he came here it was clear he was playing politics. O and Miles for the most part were here to put together football teams. BK was here to make chess moves. If he put as much effort into the football teams as he did making chess moves, he probably would have won a title.

He’s an arrogant prick who thought he was just gonna waltz down to the Bayou and pick up a natty. He should be embarrassed, considering the recruiting capabilities of LSU and the amount of in-state talent here for the taking.

Anyone can but everyone won’t. You have to be dedicated and hard working. Kelly lacked work ethic.

To be fair to Miles, any of Miles's first 9 teams would beat the snot out of any of Kelly's teams.

He never even sniffed a national championship. Saban beat his arse and laughingly said Not Yours.

There was a huge portion of people in here with the notion that he was the “best coach we have had here since Saban.” The other two were idiots. So there are a lot of quiet ranters also coping with this fact.

Yea he came in here condescending as hell, thinking he was better than all of us. He leaves with a ruined legacy and couldn't do what Les and O did - two people I assume he thinks he's better than. I'm sure the pile of money helps, but his career is ending in disgrace. The local and national media, and current and former players all have the knives out. Nobody liked him. frick that guy.

Yep. But, those two with all of their faults embraced LSU and the state. Kelly never did. He was going to do things his way, kicked out all of the coaches and staff that could have gotten him where he needed to go and realized too late that he needed them. He was never all in.

You don't have to be "one of us". But, you damn sure better respect us and realize what makes LSU a great job.

We cna make fun of Miles and O winning Natties here and O definitely fell in the "dont give a shite" bucket like Kelly ultimately did, but prior to winning those natties both Miles and O were extremely hard workers and did their best here which cant fault that.

Kelly only came here to get a fat retirement check and a school closer to his beach vacations he could take mid-season. He was just hoping he could luck into a national title without actually putting in the necessary work to do so but hoping his whole surrounding cast would take care of it for him.

All he had to do was adapt to the SEC style. He thought he knew better. He was wrong. He just blew any chance of that national title.

That's been a major draw that helps make this such an attractive job. Why would you want to lose that reputation

Well he had one with JD5 but hired a moron as a DC. The worse defense I have ever seen at LSU! Blakes D is horrible against a mobile QB but would have been good enough to win a NC with JD!
