Don’t get me wrong I love that we are playing better but to expect this team to compete for the west is really comical. I have seen this story one too many times. We get excited to play Bama and them wham we get our cheeks clapped. I really didn’t expect much this year but who knows I guess. Geaux Tigers

Yeah, frick being happy and excited. Everyone should be miserable and live through a loss to bama in our minds well before the game is played.

frick off.

Haven’t felt this good about beating them since 2019. And they aren’t the 2019 version of themselves. I think House finds away to get enough stops and get it done.

These are the best type seasons.. the ones with no expectations. We’ve already surpassed any success people thought. Sit back and enjoy. I hope we beat them, but it’s not as earth-shattering as other years.

I think we’re all jus excited games against bama are meaningful again we haven’t been able to say that since 2019. Yes it is far fetched but we do legitimately have a chance to win the sec west there’s high exciting stakes involved in this game. The fact that it’s only Kelly’s first year and we can already say that makes year 1 with Kelly already a success

It’s a win win for us. We weren’t supposed to be in this position so soon. If we lose, it will still be a much improved year. If we win?

We are more than halfway through the season and we are tied for first in the West. We aren't expecting this team to compete for the West, they ARE fricking competing for the West.

We are, quite literally, competing for the west. A win this weekend would put us 2 games ahead of Bama and 1 game ahead of ole miss (who still has to play bama) with 2 SEC games to play.

So, yeah, it’s comical

How did we “set ourselves up?”, by being happy that we are 4-1 in the SEC and just skull dragged a 7-O Ole Miss?

It's a terrible idea to ever hope for something good.

Why not enjoy the fact the Tigers have improved to be in position to play a meaningful late season game and let it play out. At some point all those factors that happened in 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014 that helped BAMA escape defeat will fall in LSU's favor. If not the talent Kelly and staff are accumulating are closing the gap and this program will be a national force again soon.

This LSU team isn’t on the same level as Bama.

Say what you want about Bama but they are still one of the best 6 teams in the country and LSU is not. LSU is playing well and had a great game against Ole Miss but I think Bama wins.

If this team plays the way they have for the last two weeks then we have a real shot at winning.

Its hard to tell which LSU team will show up. We've been consistent for a few weeks. I hope it holds. Can't let them get up on us like the others.

Should we call LSU and tell them to just cancel the game because Rize doesnt think we can get it done?

Look dude.

It’s just a game. If lsu wins it’ll be awesome. If they don’t, oh well. Life will go on and it will mean very little about our long term success.

So what? We don't owe Bama shite. They're the competition and, just like any other year, we should expect to be able to compete with them. Earlier in the year, that was not the case. Now, we have a fair chance to play with the best in our league. Obviously, they will be favored. If both teams play their best game, this should be about a one score win for Bama. If they're even slightly off, or we're playing over our heads . . . we win.
