A high powered offense with a terrible defense will get more love than a team that is solid on both sides of the ball but not the best in either.
USC is #2 in total offense and #96 in total defense
LSU is #34 in total offense and #33 in total defense

I understand that but if the two teams they lost to LSU also beat, then it makes those wins look better. It goes both ways.
You would have more of a Point talking about FSU since LSU doesn't play anyone else on their schedule except UF.

LSU beating GA is the committees greatest fear....
2 SEC teams???? They will avoid that like the plague.
Placing USC 5 now, will ease the pain if they have to make that decision. They are positioning themselves for USC to be in the final 4, period.

We got destroyed at home by Tennessee. We have two losses. If we get left out we cannot complain.
That being said, if we go 11-2 with an SEC title in year one (or even 10-3), we are ahead of schedule and have a spring board to 2023.

If SC wins out they are in. Period. Conference champ and would have beat three top 25 ranked teams in a row and they hold the sympathy pac 12 is never in card.
