Easy, you have to have something to talk about to fill 24 hours of air time.

11-1
Let’s not flatter ourselves so much.
We have 1 quality win when it comes right down to it if we are crapping on everyone else’s wins.
If they beat ND, they legitimize themselves. If not they are done.

I guess early 2000s is a relative term. When would you say they started sucking? 2009? 2010?

If this happens then UGA shouldn’t get in.

USC them 3 letters. The national media desperately wants them to be relevant

They have one less loss than LSU (an OT loss on a 2 point conversion) and just beat a ranked team. There is a reasonable basis to put them ahead of LSU...right now. However, even though ND has become a solid team and the Pac 12 championship will have USC playing another solid team, they don't have an opportunity ahead of them like Georgia is for LSU.

If we get to the end of this thing and LSU has wins over Alabama and Georgia, both of whom could very well be in the top 5 at the end of the season, NO ONE in college football will be able to match those two victories

No need to lose your minds now. Today's rankings are wholly irrelevant

To be fair USC did lose on a 2 point conversion that was the last play of the game on the road.

The media has been waiting a while for USC to be even slightly relevant again. If they win out your going to see a ton of media outlets pushing for them to be in the playoffs. What would suck is if they somehow end up playing TCU in the playoffs the first game because that is the only team in the top 7 I think USC could beat.

There is no way USC is 10-1 or 9-2 if they had our schedule. They'd be 7-5 at best

I think the Ole Miss win is still a quality win. Seems like they gave up after the Bama loss.

Which is funny, because no one in the LA market gives a s*** about college football

Welcome to 2001 - 2006. They could do no wrong. They would play games against subpar teams, be down in the 4th quarter, and come back to win. Instead of the media saying they are not a solid team to have to fight back and win games against lesser teams, they would say "they played like a champion and figured out a way to win."

Get ready to be pissed off at them being sucked off for years to come.

Or maybe they had not played anybody to be ranked that high? State will likely beat them too.

If we're playing the "if" game. For LSU to be in the conversation, it means LSU beats UGA.

Wins over Bama and UGA would be two of the top wins in the country.

I don’t really care because its in our hands but it’s funny they’d suddenly jump us now just because Tennessee lost. Why weren’t they ahead of us the last 2 weeks?

Bottom line is if USC jumps LSU in this poll, I will feel a little less confident we get in if we beat GA…
The committee never ranks the teams based on who is best, they always rank the teams so if certain things happen they can justify how the final 4 are ranked…right now they have it set up to put LSU if they win out but if they move USC over us that tells us what the plan is…
