Definitely DO NOT disturb the levees. The Miss. River is very high - since you'll be in the area, it may be cool to walk up and take a look.

Upscale dinner - Louisiana Lagniappe

Casual South Louisiana - Parrains (pah-rans) or Chimes
there we go. do not leave town without going to parrains. wow.

tj ribs is the most overrated restaurant in town imo. the ribs at sonny's are better than tj's. 2nd most overrated - sammy's. those 2 places are the long time staples that people talk about and then you walk away disappointed because the food was mediocre but you went for the atmosphere.

food at walkon's is underrated. people like to trash it because that's the cool thing to do but, they have a wide variety and it's good.

at the stadium get a burgersmith burger. pretty darn good. not as good as the restaurant but excellent for stadium food

This is true. Also don’t waste your time with TJRibs, it’s not that great. Sammy’s is pretty good but I would put it behind Parrains, Mike Anderson’s and Chimes. Chimes is right off campus, good food, good drinks, good atmosphere

Alright fellas looks like we are traveling to see you this weekend and I am pumped for the trip. I have always appreciated your fans and your program and look forward to a great weekend and baseball series. Any tips for the trip?
Make your way out to Homerun Village (parking lot behind left field just left of the video board). Yes you can go in and out. I'll give you boys a shot of cheap vodka and a bud light.

Mike Andersons for seafood. At one time it was Ralph and Kacoos, but ever since they sold the chain the food hasn't been as good. Still good, just not as good.
If you like variety, check out Walk Ons.
For a great taste of LSU past go to Pastimes. My dad's cousin started it back in the 1960's, Bobby Wesley (RIP). Anyway it's a great place to eat and check out some LSU memorabilia from the past.

Ignore the asshats on this thread. Real fans will talk a little smack but will treat you well. Stay away from North Baton Rouge (unless you go to Tony's Seafood). Tailgaters are awesome and will welcome you and feed you like you've never been fed before. True fans are cool, and our restaurants are amazing.
Try Walk-Ons, Pastime Pizza, Fleur de Lis (no credit cards here!), Parrains, Louisiana Lagniappe ($$$), Ruffinos ($$$), Elsie's Plate & Pie. Louie's (LSU campus)is a must for breakfast. And go see Mike the Tiger's Habitat!

Enjoy yourselves!

We ate at Parrians, The Chimes, The Bulldog, Walkons. We pregamed at Walkons before both games, walked through some tailgate lots and saw Mike. We went to Southern Craft brewery. Didn't have a bad meal by any means, but The Chimes was my favorite.
