Go to the Rhino Room.

Yeah, it’s a gay bar, but there is always one hot chick in there looking to talk to straight guys.

The best hotels are in North Baton Rouge.

Stay downtown at one of the hotels there. Watermark is high end. Hilton a little lower. Courtyard and Hampton a little lower . Several restaurants that are good. Cecilia’s for creole. Little village for Italian. Stroubes for American . Po boy Lloyd’s for .... po boy and fried seafood

Uber into the campus and game. Chimes and walk ons. And tailgates.

I personally like:
TJ Ribs (great ribs & memorabilia)
PastTime (excellent poboys & pizza)
Walk-On’s (Great fried seafood)
Ruffino’s (a little pricey but worth every penny)

(So many others)

Have a safe trip...Oh - TIGERBAIT!

Parrains, Chimes and Mike Anderson’s are great seafood restaurants, all have bars with TVs

Also, I recommend eating in the bar.
Have fun & Geaux Tigers

Go to the nearest house in Ascension parish and ask them to cook you something. Chances are it will be better than any restaurant dish you’ll eat. Lol

Great advice. If you do make this mistake, do not stop at red lights if you value your vehicle and your life.

As someone who has attended games at the Box as a visiting fan, I have a little bit different perspective. Because we've had a rain delay every single time I've been to the Box, the place I prefer to stay is the Staybridge Suites. It's within walking distance of the park, so when you encounter a rain delay, you've got some place to retreat and wait it out. Don't have to worry about parking, and Walkon's is pretty much next door. There's a decent seafood place in the same building as the hotel

After sweating it out at the Box, I don't know how much nightlife and fine dining you're going to be up for. IF that's a big part of your trip. then downtown might be the place. But, if you're there primarily for the baseball, Staybridge is a great choice.

As to LSU fans, the baseball fans are tame as all get out I've never had a bad experience at the Box, even when we hit a 3 run 9th innning HR to steal a series. It's definitely someplace serious college baseball fans want to go at some point.

Walk-ons has terrible food. You must be under 30.
