With losses to Ole Piss, Auburn, and Texas.
How would you feel about a 9-3 record with a tough schedule for Lane's first year?

Auburn game is at 11 AM. Good guys get the win in Jordan Hare, 10-2

I just don't see CLK losing to Ole Piss this year with all the drama that is surrounding that game. You better believe he has a "binder" for that game!

Popular sleeper trap game amoung the prognosticators.

2/3 of Crain and Co. have Auburn as well.

Not saying Auburn will have the better team, but refs @ Jordan Hare have created wins for them.

I think hunt is the best local radio guy you have, I listen to his show just about every day, but I don't see that happening. 9-3 maybe, but I don't see Auburn being that third loss. Byrum Brown is very very good though

I think the world is vastly overrating Chambliss post LK/CWJ

Yeah not many are.. but their QB Byrum Brown is a dog. Kinda QB who could will them to victory almost singlehandedly, escpially during the JP game of the week. Has trap game written all over it.

-it’s at Auburn, historically tough place to play
-it’s at 11am
-it will be LSU’s 8th straight game
-Auburn has a big, mobile qb transfer from USF which has given baker problems
-lane always dropped 1 head scratcher a year with ole miss (Kentucky 2 years ago)

It’s definitely not out of the realm of possibility

I don’t see us losing to Ole Miss. I’m much more worried about the game the week after, A&M.

Lane is gonna have the fellas ready for war come week 3. Baker had the best gameplan against Chambliss last year, I expect him & Kiffin will have something for him this year. Don’t discount that Ole Miss is replacing a majority of their WRs from last year

I don't fault his logic here.

Ole Miss will be a fricking powder keg atmosphere. It will be tough.

Auburn almost always plays us well at home, even when they suck. Classic let down game for Lane IMO. It might be a reach, but seasons are unpredictable.

And Texas will just be pretty dang good, no issue with that pick.

I have us 10-2 with losses to Ole Miss and either Alabama or Texas. Potentially 9-3 with losses to both. I'm very worried about Texas A&M after the emotional game with Ole Miss, but since I'm predicting a loss to Ole Miss, I think we bounce back.

If we beat Ole Miss, I think we lose to A&M.

who cares? He doesn't know any more than anybody else.

Just play the games, then we'll all know.

Pretty well known LSU radio guy. And a pretty smart one, although he knows most about baseball IMO.

It's his job to talk LSU sports and part of that is predictions.

I think that probably gets us into the playoffs. If so, I'd be very happy with it and I think we'd be a contender by the end of the season.

9-3 team has never made it.
