10, but I wish LSU was playing Tennessee, because you can't spell Citrus without UT

If Nuss plays? 9

If JD plays? 1

I'd like to see what Nuss has going into the spring.

I'm pretty excited. If you would have told me in August we'd be 9-4 going to the citrus bowl I'd have been pretty damn happy. We are moving in the right direction.

I live next door to an Aggie and his football season is over… with his big douchy Aggie flag.

And you can't spell Citrus Bowl without LSU.

As to the OP's question, it is peculiar how our perception changes.

If you asked at the beginning of the season how we would feel about going to the Citrus, I think 99% would have said "sign me up".

Two weeks ago, most would have scoffed and said "we'll at least get a NY6".

After losing 2 in a row, I'm about an 8 as the Citrus gets made fun of but is a major bowl. Hard not to think about how close we came to bigger things however.

It comes down to the fact that you can consider this overall season as a tremendous success but still be disappointed with the way we closed it out.

About a 6

I'm always excited to see LSU play. Particularly when I know it is going to be the last time we get the chance to do so for almost 9 months. I'm also a bit more excited with the matchup than with past "second tier" bowls. Mostly because (1) LSU has never played Purdue, (2) barring the loss of their HC Purdue will be excited to be in the game; and (3) Purdue is not a boring Big 10 team in terms of style of play such as Iowa, Michigan St., Illinois, Wisconsin, etc.

Still, it is always hard for me to get excited for non-Playoff bowl game compared to regular season SEC games because the stakes are significantly less in the bowl game. Of course it would be nice to win the game. But a loss doesn't "ruin" LSU's season or chances to win any sort of championship this year.

If your answer isn’t a 10 then you’re not a fan. Tigers playing to get to ten wins with a coach changing the culture!

Kind of hard to get excited about a game where we're on a 2 game losing streak.

It irks the shite out of me that we didn't beat A&M and in the NY6 but potential 10 wins and the QB situation has been very excited.

8... really solid bowl for BK year 1. Opponent could be better, but I just want the Tigers to take the W.

I would prefer the orange bowl over the citrus bowl, but things could be worse.
