quote:LSU will never play a football game in Yulman Stadium. It is listed as having a seating capacity of 30,000. LSU hasn't played in a stadium that small since the 1950s, before Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson, Miss., was expanded. The Superdome? Tulane would need a lot of help from TV money to make it work for LSU.
That stadium is very nice, and perfect size for their student body.

No. Why give Tulane the ability to say to recruits, you will be able to play in Tiger stadium every other year.
NO! NEVER AGAIN!

Not just you, there’s multiple posts in this thread that are basically saying we’re LSU we’re not playing on the road at Tulane. So entitled sounding.
The majority of the people are objecting because, financially speaking, it serves LSU no benefit to play a road game at Tulane. The P5 schools that do it are doing it for recruiting. Same reason we like playing in Houston. LSU doesn’t need exposure in New Orleans by playing a game there.

So it would benefit LSU to do a home and Home with UCF or USF??

sure, more than it would playing a home and home with Tulane. Bottom line, if we're sacrificing revenue for a home game, it is going to be for a good reason, whether that be the money that comes from the neutral site games or playing a legit P5 school. We don't do home and homes with the other LA schools either and for the same reason. A home and home with Tulane so that some of our fans can relive an outdated rivalry is not a good reason. It would only benefit Tulane to play us in their home stadium in New Orleans. We have really nothing to gain and everything to lose. You thought losing to Troy was bad, try stomaching a loss at Tulane when there was nothing to gain from playing at Tulane in the first place.

Well, we HAVE to get this future OOC schedule thing figured out because it’s getting ridiculous that Alleva can’t get it set in stone like other schools have.

which would never happen. shite, last time we played there when we were ranked #2 in the country, we got slotted at 11 AM and attendance was pathetic. No network is going to invest in a game between LSU and Tulane because no one around the country would watch it and very few people would attend regardless if it was at the Dome or at Yulman.

We play Miami this year, and a game at Texas next year.
We have a H&H scheduled with UCLA starting in 2021 and Oklahoma in 2027. Is that not good enough for you? These future schedules change all the time with all schools, not just LSU. Just because Arizona St rescheduled doesn't mean "it's getting ridiculous." These things happen. Tennessee lost a previously scheduled H&H with Ohio State. Arkansas lost one with Michigan.

Because both sides have too much ego and pride to consent to it.
I would love for LSU and Tulane to be real rivals again.

The Wisconsin series should have been a home and Home. Syracuse series was a joke. It’s been weak lately. Meanwhile Auburn is playing Clemson, Bama is playing USC, A&M is playing Pac12 schools, UGA played Notre Dame. Ours sucks.

I’m not necessarily saying LSU should agree to a Home and Home but watching LSU play in Yulman would be fun as hell.
That stadium is built straight up dobto it’s location sobthe seats are right on top of the field. As a fan, You’d get to be closer to the action than any LSU game before.
I think the average joe could throw a football and hit a player on the field, that’s how close you are.
I harbor zero hate for Tulane abdvtry to go to a game every year cuz I like their little stadium. It’s unique. I hope Fritz keeps things tolling in the right direction and makes Tulane a competitive AAC team.

I always thought it should be called “home and away”. Bc you play one at home and one away. As does the other school.

Nah dude. You aren’t allowed to like any other in state school if you are a true LSU fan. We’re the best and the rest are a joke and can kiss our arse. We’re too good to play them. We’re too good to even let them come to TS and get beat 80-0.

The Wisconsin series still happened, and regardless of where the games were played, Wisconsin was a strong OOC series. TCU was a strong game when it was scheduled. Washington wasn't a bad H&H series. In 2011 we played Oregon and WVU OOC. We're not going to have marquee OOC games every single year, no one does. Games fall through, teams get worse by the time games actually happen, etc. But at the end of the day, in recent history, we have done as good a job getting good OOC games as anyone in this conference. And this getting mentioned in a thread wanting to play a team like Tulane is hilarious.

Auburns best OOC game this year is Washington, the rest are terrible. Alabama's best OOC game this year is Louisville, the rest are terrible. Georgia's best OOC game is Ga tech, the rest are terrible. We open the season against likely top 10 Miami and apparently our schedule sucks. We schedule good P5 OOC games almost every year just like those schools do. Logic somehow escapes you.
