Needs seatbacks

I wouldn’t say cheap but they didn’t do a great job of mixing the modernization with the old look they wanted to keep. Should’ve kept the field identical to the old one and went full modern on the stadium.

There needs to be a large dedicated student section where the students can hang out have fun and watch the game.
Where do students gather and sit right now?

Kind of scattered around. In the 90s a lot of us sat along the 3rd base line from behind the dugout to the left field fence and it was pretty rowdy but It wasn’t official or anything. I do like your idea though, instead of waiting for the admin to create something like that for fans, people should organically do something and if it’s popular the program would likely capitalize on it. Thats how it’s happened with other SEC schools.

But does anyone believe that The Box looks cheap?

the student section is the last few far sections in the right field bleachers, I wish they'd change the new loge seating to SRO only tickets for $40 a pop and fill that in with a few hundred drunk, rowdy fans down both lines

Yeah but this is a thread to start in the middle of the week and not in the middle of a game where everyone is hyped up on a good baseball team and they take any slight against anything related to them as the equivalent to calling their mom a fat whore.

LSU should have a stadium that rivals the best in the country (SEC). They do not.
Eh, LSU fans are actually the only folks I ever see with this opinion.

Living in FAyetteville, Baum is nicer by a mile. I think LSU's should be on par. It is not.

What have they done in the last 15 years to improve the fan experience?
They hired Jay Johnson
They hired top asst. coaches
They invested in indoor batting cages
They invested in the latest equipment for players
They went national in recruiting
They moved cold weather games to day games
They approved beer sales

I wonder what it will be like sitting under there in May?
Can our 6'3"+ pitchers (we have like 20 of them) even walk to the window area to stay involved in the game?
I might like the idea of the short pitchers lane and the tall pitchers lane. Gotta think on that one for a bit...

You people and your obsession with the bullpen location need to seek help. Who gives a flying frick?

I'm bringing the family down from Arkansas in April to check out a game at the box, haven't been in a very long time

Still baffles me that we have a black net batters eye like a typical 1A high school.
If you incorporated the batters eye into the wall with padding and got rid of the deer stand looking camera booth and put in behind the wall and put chairbacks throughout the stadium that would be a huge improvement.

There weren’t any issues this weekend, and you can’t see who is warming up which is what our coach wanted.

Coulda done the same with open air pen literally right next to the bleachers.
Then have our dudes come running in from right center. Would be awesome.
Put one of those mesh screens above it to shade it when it gets hot.
I like my idea better if this is truly a temp move for a better upgrade in a few years.
