Said it was the worst performance by Blake Baker as a coach since he's been at LSU. Said we hired Kiffin to make a fourth and 1 play but he punted instead. Said Sloan completely dominated Baker last night. Personally, I hate the attempt to draw the defense offsides when attempting to get a first down on fourth down, then taking a time out to then punt. It just seems weak.

I don’t disagree with any of that.
Kiffin was paid a lot of money to make the difficult choices like going for that 4th and 1. We could have kept Kelly to punt there.
Baker has no excuses, I’m firmly off his train. Nobody gets more overhyped by beating up on lesser teams and getting totally out schemed when he’s playing a QB who has a pulse.

In what world is 1 long run on 2nd play, 1 long drive, KR TD, OT TD... and a bunch of short field stops a bad look for Baker. People are freaking delusional. He deserves hate for other games but not this

Sure, just go ahead and discount that 80 yard play to start the game. Down 7-3 before the defense ever made contact with a UK player.

He’s not going to fuk you.

That opening run was more on Cooley than anyone else. He completely played himself out of position. He’s supposed to be covering that hole.

If you are a great DC needing one stop to close out a win you get it. Baker’s defense, in the two losses this year had situations where it needed on stop…and he was passive and could not get it done. In those moments he’s hesitant

Yep, you hire Kiffin to have a play to get 4th and 1.

I don’t agree that is was Bakers worst performance. Both aTm games in 2024 and 2025 were worse.
This one was still bad though.

Baker needs to sort out these slow road starts too. Congrats on the halftime adjustments but how about we quit spotting teams 24 first half points before we decide to start playing fast and physical.

Because when you really need a stop to win the game he fricking chokes and its a fact. He did it against Ole miss and he just did it again against Kentucky twice. Went zone deep safety on their last drive and let them eat us up with seam routes just like Ole miss, then in OT he dosent see the qb sneak coming from a mile away.
I like his agressive style but we have enough of a sample size now, he cant get the big stop at the end of the game.

And Cooley works for Baker. What is your point ? The D got out-coached by Joe fricking Sloan.

In a world where he is one of the highest paid defensive coordinators in the country to not lose games like this in the last few minutes, no matter the situation.

Is there a link anywhere to listen? Im getting ready to get on a plane and have plenty of time to listen.

Both road games bakers defense has been suspect at the start. Terrible before half giving up TDs and then terrible at the end of the game.
That’s not what’s expected from the highest paid DC in the land.

Gave up 3 points in the 2nd half. The opening play counts, but Baker can't go out there and physically stop LB from tripping over the DL in front of him or the safety from running into the wrong gap. Kentucky got a short field twice in the 2nd half, but the defense held them to FG attempts both times.
Meanwhile, the offensive genius scores 1 TD against a bottom quartile SEC defense on a play that wasn't a gimmick. The offense was a bigger problem than the defense.

Baker is Dennis Allen. Objectively a good defensive coordinator but can’t be counted on to end a game. We’ve seen enough.

Who do we realistically think is going to replace him?
