Npt817. Do you need someone to hold your hand thru every scene ?

Nah, I just don’t appreciate lazy writing.

If the group needed a beanstalk to get to the Abyss, how did Vecna and all the Demo’s get back and forth from the abyss?

The scene that really summed up how horrible and lazy the writing was this season was when everyone climbed the radio tower. Earlier in the season Jonathan and Steve raced up to the top. But this episode they made it seem like a task where rests and water breaks were needed just so they could have a scene with Mike and Will talking alone.

lol what the hell does social media have to do with pointing out the stupidity of your comment.

We get it, you liked the show. That doesn’t mean that they limped to a finish. The writing was incredibly weak this season. They had 3 years to make this and put out a subpar product.

The writers on ET, The Goonies, and stand by me were chicken shite.

The fate of the world wasn’t on the line in those movies and the characters didn’t have to fight an inter dimensional space monster or superhuman psycho murderer banished to another dimension.

Really had higher expectations for that character with LH playing her but she was kind of pointless.

I just didn’t get the sense they had this ending mapped out from the start of the series. Maybe them wrapping up a D&D game in the basement and closing the door but nothing else.

The scene just took away from then ending of episode 4 when he found the powers. Not to mention they have the world ending so the time to sit and have a conversation is not there.

@Lanelsu83, How are you holding up now that S5 Episodes 1-6 are now only the third highest rated of the series first six episodes?

S5E7 is now the lowest rated episode of the series and this season is so far the lowest rated season.

Good question. She's only come out to one person on screen and that's Steve. We don't know if she came out to the rest.

When she was talking to Will on the radio tower she said something along the lines that he was only the second person she told.

Pretty much everywhere you look that episode is being widely pinned for various reasons.

The overall lazy writing for this last season is embarrassing.

He knows this already. That’s why he keeps mentioning just the first six episodes

How is the rating for the first 5 episodes? What about the first 2?

Again, people are watching now to see how it ends being that they have waited a decade for it. The question will be how much staying power the show has once the finale airs. Netflix is banking on people watching this over and over again. For that to happen they really need to nail the finale. If it’s a dud then people probably aren’t going to do rewatches down the road like they do with Harry Potter movies, The Sopranos etc.

I would venture to say many people are hoping they can pull off a great ending next week, but are also skeptical after the latest episodes.

I love how you just used the average of first 6 episodes when we have 7 out. Episode 7 is so far rated the 2nd worst episode all time on IMDB. Only worse than S2E7. When factored in this is only the 3rd highest rated first 7 episodes of the series, trailing Seasons 1 and 4. I’m sure those ratings will also drop on IMDB as more reviews post.

Lanelsu83C, people are watching because they have been following this show for a decade. It doesn’t mean that the writers did a great job finishing it up. So far it’s been very underwhelming. Hopefully they saved everything for the finale, but confidence for that is not high.
Lol, well at least we know someone here will keep there Netflix subscription and rewatch this every month.
