Really? And how do you know this? I did my annual compliance training yesterday and HIPAA was still part of it.

Did the HIPAA training teach you how to ask someone if they’re vaccinated and fire them if the answer is “no”?

That has never been covered by HIPAA

I think we need to prepare and plan for him to be out the entire season

He is definitely not playing again this season.

When gov and corporations mandated compliance of experimental therapeutics and discriminated based off of medical status, HIPPA by all intents and purposes went down the drain

I've had vertigo before.

I experience vertigo when I get migraines. Could be a number of things going on. But I hope whatever it is is a one time thing. Not something I’d wish on ANYONE to deal with regularly.

LSU made you disclose whether you had had injections before permitting you to watch a live football game.

What the frick does "watch how I break the knob" even mean?

Knob broke means u cant turn down which is the opposite of turn up meaning drunk, high, or partying hard. In other words you're not about to stop any time soon.

I don’t know your definition of a medical professional, but HIPPA applies to everyone who has access to protected medical information as an employee (or even volunteer) of a medical entity or as an employee of a company who does work for the medical entity. There was a case about five years ago in Iowa where a person who received information and used it was sentenced to federal prison.

As previously addressed, nobody will take you seriously if you’re both wrong and refer to it as HIPPA instead of the actual name HIPAA.

Bigger issue is a lot of people are hijacking a thread about a struggling young man to promote rumors, bad takes on medicine, and misunderstandings of a pretty simple federal law. Stick to things you actually know or wish him well.

Absolutely not but we have covered HIPAA enough that everyone could pass the HIPAA part of med school or law school

Ok big HIPAA expert. I’ve sat through shitty work mandated HIPAA trainings too, I know what it is. It’s just funny that y’all are concern trolling about HIPAA like anyone in this country cares about medical privacy after the joke that was 2020.

Here in the United States, we pass acts to protect medical information from being disclosed by your doctor or healthcare professional, but we also force you to disclose your health and vaccination status against your will or lose your job

Someone posted something far worse than Vertigo. I won't repeat it because if true, it was a serious HIPAA violation.

How fricking stupid are you. It’s not a hippa violation to post a rumor on a message board. People are fricking stupid

Apparently, you don’t. Providers and insurance companies can’t share medical information, but it does not mean that you can’t/don’t have to share information with employers.

I hate big government as much as anyone, but HIPPA doesn’t apply to employers and vaccine mandates.

Who’s going to be the poster to get fired for dipping in and out of his medical chart while at work?

There are videos on YouTube that show how to reverse it I’ve done about 6 or 7 times in my adult life. Before I figured it out. it used to last me 3-4 days
